First race at SoCal with the new car was pretty good. Ran the Foam car chassis and towers with a rubber tire set-up w/ spool less raised drivetrain. No one was there to race Mod, so had to run 19T. Some good racing with 2 others with there new T2's with one-ways.
Had to go to stiffer springs, Green front 18lbs., Blue rear 16lbs. Car was loose in the middle of the corner on out with the lighter 14lbs. springs. Was rolling over too much.
I was able to match my lap times of Steve Wiess earlier in the day during practice in Mod. He was running a one-way diff in his Cyclone. He is fast there.
Much more cornerspeed with this car compared to the MI2.

Interesting. Stock is running 6 minute heats now? If you guys know what the weather is looking like on the track please let me know. I'll like to make the drive for the mains but would hate getting down there and its rained out.

All you needed to do is ask...

well, maybe not, the file is too large. I'll put it on GearChart.Com in the setup files.

I know you guys are all about the "EC" but I have an "old" question.. are the BMI shock towers the same height as the stock towers..

Fred beat me too it. What an amazing day of racing. First time out with the car and I should have won the A. Yeah I choked I ran PW setup with 33lb springs in the front and raised the rear camber link. The kit springs worked ok but I found that they were too soft. The car was just dumping the nose down so much with the 27lb springs that it would push out. I put the 33's on per PW suggestion and that worked! This week is off...but next week we should be able to get some good testing in...Horsham Fred?

The BMI towers are lower for shorter shocks (new schuy shocks or tamiya).

I am not sure where Paul finished, but he was the fastest car most of the weekend. He had a rough main. Paul TQ'ed over a fast Billy Easton and Jared Scott. THe EC looked great ( box stock setup).

Adrians car looked awesome in 19, not sure where he ended up, but I am sure he had some luck"issues"
