A few pics from my E.C build.
It is a beautiful thing, most complete and fuss free kit build I have done.
It just went together without a single hitch, not once did I reach for a file or dremel.

By far Schumachers best kit to date. Quality of parts / finish is miles ahead of previous kits, annodizing finish is nice and shiny this time! New hardware is great, black 2mm hex screws much easier to work with.

I was just about to post my pictures but King-Gs are way better!

Started building kit and its true-it is very nice. Lots of little improvements and nice finishing touches.

I must say to everyone thou to be careful regarding orientation of the wheel hex. Schumacher have incorporated the old cone washer and washer into a modified hex which must be placed on with the flat side facing the rim. It sounds obviuous but I know a few people who have got this wrong and complained about the wheel hitting the hub!

Thanks Schumacher for a great kit!

and before anyone mentions it, I do realise in that last pic the wheel hex's are on the wrong way. I hadnt initially noticed the little machined spacer on one side. It wasnt until i noticed the slop between the hex and bearing that it wasn't apparent.

Many great features on the car, after having the mi2 for 2 years. this car is definately a step forward in all areas.

I still cant believe how easy the build was 7pm - 11.30pm
(I have the shocks with me to do at lunch time) then im finished.

Don't take it personal.....we just don't have anything to do until we get our new cars....

New yellow seal high speed steel bearings. The are pretty good. We had a guy in FL that is a known bearing buster test them and his are still running smooth.

There will also be white seal ceramic bearings and bearing kits available soon.

Older Mi2 question:

Noticed the top-deck of the new car looks to be more flexible in design-would it be beneficial to take a dremel to the older top deck (i.e. remove the section than connects the two extensions which screw to the bulkhead) so the design is the same? I have a BMI chassis now (bottom plate only) and the car is crazy-stiff. Any suggestions on getting a slight bit of flex are welcome, I run asphalt medium traction. Also when is more chassis stiffness better, tight tracks or more open tracks? Anyone get to try the new shocks on the older car yet? Thats it for now...
