Thanks for the tips concerning the gt7 mounting.

IslandBwoy- it would really help if you could post the pics. Thanks.

Is the teemu raiser plates thicker the the bos stock raiser plates? Thanks.

need some help with setting the car up with carpet towers:

just got some carpet towers for my Mi2 and I cant seem to make it work. I have the front shocks set at 63mm, the rears 64mm (as per the setup sheet i have from schumacher) using the stock dampers. with the shock collars all the way up (to the point they are making contact with the plastic mount and wont go any higher) i cant get the ride height where it should be and the suspension movement is next to nothing. i can only guess i'm doing something wrong, i dont know. do i need shorter shock rods?, different shocks alltogether? probably a rookie question i know but any help/suggestions would be apreciated... guess i'll use the stock towers till i figure it out

Did you cut 2mm off the ball cup on the shock shaft? If not, that may be your problem. Are the shock bottoming out or is the top of the ball cup hitting the shock body to limit the susmension travel?

Yes, if you are using the stock shocks then cut 2mm off the shockshaft threads and 2mm off the ball cups.

The new schumacher shocks will be available in 2 weeks time

John Kerr- I haven't tried cutting down the ballcups yet, but i can see why that would make a difference in allowing the spring to sit lowere and make it to where i can actually twist the collars back down (they're as high as they'll go at the moment). The fronts weren't so bad but the rear shocks would'nt hardly move at all-- I did however replace both of the front shock rods with Losi rods which I know to be 2mm shorter, so maybe this is making a difference (Plan on replacing the rods on the rear dampers as soon as I find another pair from Losi, the nitride feels smoother). I'll get to cutting the cups down and see if it helps...

I think PW just answered my question on the length of the shock rod. Gotta find another pair of Losi's!

there's a new tray that will fit the newer 3700's. I can't remember the part number but Schumacher does offer it.

They won't fit in the stock Mi2 or the older BMI chassis but Schumacher does make a new battery tray for them and any new BMI chassis that's sold is cut for the larger cells.
