I did bend the right side steering post too. But it was in a hit so hard it shattered the top deck too. Going down the straight I got clipped in the right rear by a car coming across the track and sent the car flying into SoCal's brick wall. There wasn't much left on the car that wasn't broken after that one.

On the some of the older schumacher cars like the Axis and Mission that I had this would happen once and a while. Going to the short screw in the picture like PW showed helps a ton. I think that it gets bent more often then you think but if you dont check it that often you will not see it and most times it didnt do much to the cars tweak. If it was bent enough then it would cause a tweak issue.

Hey Paul is the car here yet....

It's the only indoor track in Southern California. Plus it's considered the home track for a lot of pro racers. Guys like BK, Barry Baker, Toso, Numan, etc... You'll hear SoCal guys talk about the SoCal Nats if there's a particularly large turnout of factory guys. The on road track is really different than any other track I've raced on. Setups for that track a lot of times look really odd on a setup sheet. Things work there that don't work anywhere else and vice versa. And even though it's an indoor track, the weather plays a huge role in how much grip the track has.

Hey Paul,

Where do you guys practice at? Do you guys have a practice track that is available during the week? There is no doubt practice is a marjor part of my runtime issues but there isnt anywhere in O-town that is available all of the time. Eventhough we have TQ which has a permenent track they only treat it on Fridays, thus it makes little to no sense practicing there as the track has no grip other than on race days and maybe the day after.

Maybe i'll put down some plastic cups in front of the house :-(

Isn't TQ hobbies spraying the track on Wed. nights? Its been a few weeks since I went there but they were doing it on a regular basis (at least before winter hit).

Wish goar still existed..(the whole reason I quit rc some years ago, I like TC but off-road is a blast!)

caps are on for work. When I'm there I don't turn them off because I sometimes forget to turn it back on and when my reports don't get run I freak out until I realize that Matt Howard didn't want me to yell on rctech

No B for me this week. This is going to be the turn around week.
