sorry for the long post.
Are you aware that there is a diff locking screw in teh opposite outdrive to the diff screw. The locking grub screw has to be loosened till you get the right adjustment then tightened again.

For anyone that raced rubber at the IIC in Vegas (or any other high bite rubber track), what shell did you run?? and what was the most popular at the sharp end of the field??

The Protoform Mazda and Stratus 3.0 dominated the field in Rubber...I finished 5th with a Mazda

Yes, all 4wd sedans are ROAR legal. Mi2EC = Rubber low/medium bite and Mi2EC Foam spec = Foam medium/high bite and Rubber high bite

Tighten it until it feels like it's just about bottomed out, then back it off a 1/4 turn. Then break it in like a posted above. Final settings on it should be fairly loose. You really don't want your diff too tight. If you can hold one wheel and the spur and try to turn the opposite wheel, you should just barely be able to make it slip. But only just a little. Just make sure it's not slipping when on the track. Too tight a diff can make for a very erratic handling car and too loose can cost you punch coming out of the corners and can damage parts.

hey dude i took ur advice and checked the internals their all good (i think) so i tightened them and backed of 1/4 turn and the seemed very stiff and would bearly turn when the spur was held so i backed it of 1/4 turn more (1/2 a turn total) now it is a bit softer is still stiff but isnt like belt breaking will that be ok?? is 1/2 turn to much?? im new so i thought soft diffs might be more forgiving in the corners is this right any help would be great.

aus jd 2703 i alwase run my diffs 1/4 turn undone (some times a little tighter ) i would say 1/2 turn is a bit to lose tho mate. but u can try it and just listen on the track for it sliping

1/2 turn does seem like a lot but if it's tight, it's tight. I like to run mine as loose as possible without it slipping. Without having it in front of me and turning it myself, I can't really judge it.

Yeah. regardless if your going 1/4 or 1/2 turn the important thing is; is that you should have a fairly difficult time getting the diff to slip while holding one wheel and the spur. That is your litmus test because 1/4 turn or 1/2 a turn is different based on where your starting from.
