right yeah will giv it a once over,

wen u say r/c do u mean roll center (so taking out the riser plate and puting 1.5 under instead?) wer is the set up on the schui teck info ? i will put it on and try it. thnaks bob

no I believe MattW means he was using a 2mm shim ontop of the riser plate, and he removed that and replaced it with a 1.5mm shim, effectively lowering the rear R/C .5mm

Yes, King G is correct 1.5mm/2.0mm on top of the carbon riser plate. This is with the alloy pivot. If you look in the Tech info, under Mi2 then look on page 2 you can see Teemu's Euros set-up.

What chassis is better for carpet, the BMI, or the Teemu?

Or are they both pretty close.

Have you ever tried the Teemu chassis?

Are both chassis the same thickness?

I talked to Seaball last night about the different Mi2 chassis and he said that BMI has it about right. He also did a lot of development work on steering geometry, etc. that I think inspired the dialed Mi2 ec's used at Vegas. Seaball has an unbelievably dialed Mi2 he runs on carpet/foams at the Gate.

I know from experience that the CF BMI uses is awesome and his work is the best in the business.

Default Gear Ratio

Hey Guys,

Long time no talk. Everyone seems to be pumped on the EC but i'm still working on getting my TEEMU converted over to the BMI Regarding gear ratio's and motor combinations, I noticed at the last over at supperior that Troy's car had all kinds of crazy rip out of the corners and was wondering what size spurs do you guys run for the most part. Currently i have a 122/41 combination in which i think is affecting my ability to spool up quickly. The car is still fast once it gets up to top speed but on smaller tracks obviously i would have an issue. Am i correct in assuming that my spur gear may be a bit on the excesive side? If its not that, what motors are you guys running for 19T classes. I'm still running the Reedy quad spec motors.

Bob, yes that is how he measures droop.

raising inner pin 1mm is to raise the roll centre - it's just putting a 1mm spacer under the inner pin mounts.

raising the camber link is a little more tricky. you need to file (or dremel) the camber link hole upward 3mm (or what ever dimension). Can be a little tricky, but you just need to take some time and measure carefully with vernier caliper.
