This is a very minut question BUT where is everyone mounting transponders? In all the pics I looked at, it didn't look as if anyone had a spot on the car. POst a pic or tell me where. I don't really want to mount on body! Thanks........oh and it didn't come yesterday but UPS says it WILL be here today

I mount it behind the motor, there's plenty of room there. If you would like to mount your speedo there instead, then you can place the transponder in front of the motor. This is what Teemu uses. There are many other possibilities besides these though...

Jesse, I saw that Teemu mounts his there, any idea why he does that?? As far as i can see the wireing would need to be longer to do that so i can't think of any good reason.

Try this for a transponder mount. Yokomo has a mount kit. Inclules alloy post, thick flexible plastic mount, and hardware. You need to drill a hole in the lower chassis in front of the left rear suspension arm front pivot inside screw, about 3-5mm forward of that. Then counter sink the hole. Very clean and low. Easy enough to place transponder in and out of.

I use a BRP transponder mount that you can bend the way you want and is mounted with servo tape right behind the motor.... ITs cheap and works well!

On the transponder mount. You can use the Losi XXX transponder mount. It will mount directly behind the motor using the two top plate screws for the 'Y' brace that holds the layshaft. I saw a local guy at the track do this...and it looks like it works quite well!

Well, I've finally ordered my Mission! It should be arriving on tuesday so I can race it in the Australian Orion Summer Nats next weekend. I went through most of this thread last night but I'd like to ask if anyone has some new or unpublished building tips, and more importantly, setups with foam tyres on a fast, flowing outdoor tar track. Or any foam setups really, or just advise on running the mission with foam. Thanks in advance,

Chris

Default Socal saturday pretty darn sucessful for shcumacher (percentage wise) at socal

I think (bout 98% sure) that all the schumachers that showed maid the A amin in thier respective classes.

I wasnt sure if mopar finished 1st or 2nd in sprotsman stock A main

in mod jay and corner speed took 5th and 4th respectivly ( jay would have had 4th but dumped bout 2 laps from the finish)

I placed 6th in the A hack (intermediate) stock.

there was another stock driver with a schumacher But i forgot where he placed

oh yeah for stock on a small high bite track I do reccomend that you run the 17 tooth pully ( mu car turned in to a fire breathing beast) I was running a 6.49 overall final drive ( the diffrence is like a geo metro {ya know those three piston ones} and a dodge viper)

if anyone would like to see my cooky setup let me know I did like how the car worked

and I say again there is no better car than a schumacher, predictable, driveable, responsive, and well the best car on the market ( no I am not trying to schmooze the shcumacher big wigs for a sponsorship) this is really how I feal about the car, I have seen ( and driven ) the mission ind it is good

later all

Has anyone tried the two different chassis compounds yet to see what the difference in performance is?

How does the S1 chassis compare to the carbon fiber chassis?

Just curious to see how the added flex of the S1 chassis will effect performance.

Thanks
