Thumbs up welcome to shcumacher and electric

Wilson10- if it were me (and I had the cash) I would go with the 16x9, as far as I can tell you wont ever need to buy another charger after that

as for the discharger stick with trays if you are running NmHi no bulbs ( I have been told that bulbs hurt the nmhi cells)

and good luck with your new shcumacher!!!

Yes..I got a Mission and it is SWEET!!! Just one question.....

I bought a set of Yok threaded shocks cause they didn't have any Schuie threaded bodies in stock at LHS and I wanna race this weekend. The problem is the YOKs only rwach 63mm at least as far as I feel comfortable with) What lenght do most of you build your Schuie shocks to?? I noticed the kit shafts are quite a bit longer (3-4mm to bottom of threads) Will I still be able to get to a decent raceable height with the shorter shafts? I was hoping the shafts would fit the Yok shocks, but they are a little thicker....

I will however hook up with shcumacher USA and get the bodies I want, but they won't be here til' after raceday......

Impact- We typically run shock lengths of 66 to 67 mm. They are a bit longer than ascosiated and yokomo shocks.

I am running:

KO Mars EX-1
Novak TC2
Novak XXTRA reciever
Trinity P2K2
Futaba S9402 Servo
Novak Mellenium Charger
TRINITY, INTEGY, and SMC 2400's
Team Losi Stratus Fear body

I can't comment much as I just purchased all this just except for the Radio on Friday. I can tell you that the radio is the best one I have ever used, owned or worked with...

James I decided to set-up the car with the kit shocks (63 mm) and this still allows the suspension to reach 0 droop, is there a reason that you all are using such long shocks?? What are you setting your droop at?

Thanks

I said it before, and I say it again, GOD I love this Car. Two weks ago at So-Cal I qualified middle of the B in Sportsman Stock and finished 3rd. This week I installed the one-way, and did a little tweaking to get the set-up right too, and made middle of the A-main. Got an awesome whole shot on the start and missed all the pile-ups to take the lead and kept it for three of the four minutes. Second made a clean pass for the lead but the next guy clipped me and that started the tag-spin event for the night. The car was good all night, but I didn't sauce the tyres enough, and was a little loose. Only changes from previous posting was grey springs in the rear and gear up one tooth. I tried the 20t drive gear with the same final drive and the car was slow on accell. Changed back to the 17t and car accellerated much harder. I love this car.

Well I had a mixed day racing. Car was super fast and as fast as the winners but I seeme dto hit every corner dot and had a bad day with backmarkers. One race I was going full speed down the straight(~70kmh) and hit a stationary car. I then got hit from behind by another car going full speed and he flew 1 metre in the air(no joke) for 10m. His batteries came out and it was a mess. The Mission not one bit of damage which I am freaking about as the stationary car I hit was a TC3 and destroyed its rear end and bent 2 Lunsford Titanium hingepins into s shapes!

This car is strong. Well yeah pretty bad day in terms of my driving but we all have these days dont we? When I did get it together had some awesome racing. One other thing is that every driver is running a oneway diff and I am as quick without one. Mine comes this week Looking forward to going faster!

Chris, You won't have got away with that, check the lower ball studs, one of them is bound to be bent!!

Oasis: I've never bent a ball stud like Matt suggests (but check them anyway), but definitely check the lower hinge pins (especially if you notice the car start driving erratic from one run to the next). I have yet to bend them on the Mission, but it was a checklist item on the A2.

Wilson: I have a 16X5 (2 in fact) and love the charger. The 16X9 is only a 16X5 with a built in power supply so either will work well. I prefer the Keyence ESC since availibility seems to be better (and the ESC says HELLO every time you turn it on). For dischargers I use the Integy 20A discharger (not the individual cell discharger, but the one in the metal box). Its availible in 20 or now 30A discharge rates. Works similar to lightbulbs, but no bulbs to break and it has auto shutoff. For that matter, the 16X5 has a discharge mode too. I prefer the Panasonic Stock NiHM to the Sanyos...people are having to do bad things to the Sanyo HVs to get good preformance out of them and they still seem to go flat at 4:30 in the race. Of course, get the Mission. Hope that helps...

Impactplayr- I will check that out on the mission. On the A2 every set up I've seen called for 66mm shock length so that's what I always ran. I've had to go to 67 or 68 on the A2 to run the outer shock mount on the arm. I've seen other team drivers set ups for the mision and they were also running 66mm so I never thought much about it. I usually run between 2 and 4mm of droop checked with an ascociated type guage.-James

Default Traction rolling...

It's about time I posted a question on this board as well... I was racing at the week-end on carpet with my mission, and found some problems. The last race I raced with it, it worked like a charm, but now there was more traction on the carpet, especially on the corners there was a lot of "black". We race Take offs as a control tire, and was having trouble with traction rolling. Well I did the usual stuff... Front sway-bar, 100wt front&rear, silver springs, cs22 with MH insert, traction compund only on the innner half of the front tires, 0mm-droop on the front 2mm on the rear ride height LOW, more ackermann,...
I was plenty fast in the modified A-main setting the fastest lap times every time I got out (the fast guys being in Danmark), but rolling once or twice on every main is too much for a win...
So, what do YOU do usually to remedy this?

Theoretically, the dampning should be the same. One HPI piston number is equal to 10 wt. So going 2 hole numbers up (larger holes) and 20 wt thicker oil should be the same. But this methos should ensure less oil turbolence.

I dont know how to check if the slow dampning is increased/decreased. The shocks felt very much the same, just a little smoother, when compressed fast.

JesseT - I'm not an expert but if you have tracktime you may try this. Zero droop in the rear. and 2-3 mm droop in the front without the front stabi.

If you try it please let me know what you think about it.
