theres more Mi2's out there now adrian looks like 90% of the fast guys are running them at speedline.the car does really perform well. its gonna be nice to be able to run mine again once i get finished with the FK05 chassis kit.i miss the Mi2 and its only been 2or3 weeks.

And what was the remark on Todd's thread a couple days ago about how fast can you make a Schumacher?

Yes, a spool will work on a small tight track. I use it all the time.

Yes, it will. I ran mine at Sheldon's once and it was pretty tight. The car worked well. I believe the setup from there is posted on www.gearchart.com if you want it.

Hey STLNLST,

I noticed on one of your setups you said that you were using:

Quote:
TAMIYA SHOCKS AND AE SPRINGS. LOWER INNER CAMBER LINK HOLE USING CARPET TOWERS. RASIED FRONT ROLL CENTER 0.78
How are you rasing yor roll center in those types of incriments? Are you just using not so standard washers under the lower arms or are you doing something else.

And what is the default castor setting on the MI2 is it 4 degrees? And if i wanted to change it do i need some sort of different caster blocks or something like that?

MI Jedi

Any others..I dont have the carpet towers or Tamiya shocks..or 6 deg. steering yokes..I guess I need to invest some $$ for tuning parts..

I didn't have the take off washers back then and the AE plastic washers measured out to that uneven size.....lol I'd go with a .5 That is also after you remove the stock riser plate. The default caster blocks are the 4 degree. You will need some different blocks if you wish to try different caster.

what do you do when you have the field down by a lap and then someone tries to race with you and takes you out in the main

Standings: 2nd in point series; down by one point.

I made it a point not to see who the driver was because i would have been tempted to do something like pushing them off the stand.

But for now i'll just make sure this doesnt happen again

Solid race day yesterday, My team Mate and I securing 2nd and 3rd in the Mod A. Car was very strong in the unusually hot conditions for this time of year (32c ambient). I was very pleased to get the car working so well in unfavoured conditions, some key changes really improving the grip and balance of the car.

I Set fastest single lap of the day, 14.02 and turned out to be the fastest lap to date on the existing layout for race day. I was running on t.q pace in my second qualifier, closely following eventual T.Q getter lap for lap, until a slight loss in concentration and blunder cost me 3 seconds, the eventual margin for t.q, and coincidentally track record.

Biggest gains were found by reverting back to a lowered front roll centre (no riser plate, with just 1mm shims under alloy pivot blocks)...rear r/c using riser plates and 1mm shims).

Also reverted to using 4 degree castor blocks with the spool, 2 degree was very good for initial steering, but 4 degree feels smoother and stronger mid corner for my liking.

Bring on the cooler weather, the Mi2's hunting ground!

Back in the Game!

In all honesty, purple chassis screws on the bottom will turn into silver ones fairly quickly as they get scratched.
