LoSi xXx S

I am not a Team driver nor do I play one on TV

But....

Having owned other Schumacher TCs and now owning the Mi2 I have never had an issue with building the shocks. While I cannot argue that Tamiya shocks are much easier to build, the Schumacher shocks are not a problem and when built properly perform just as well as any others.

Given that, if you search for AdrianM on the Schumacher thread he once gave a step by step sure fire way of building the shocks. Follow those steps and you should not have any problem.

If you still want to get rid ofyour Schumacher shocks, I will give you a FedEx shipping account and you can mail them to me.

tony whats a good starting setup for TQ? should i go with 1.5 toe in on the rear or stick to 3.0 ? right now the setup is stock with out locked front diff or anything. should i go locked and what ride hieght ? i set it up to 4.5 all around , is that normal that the front feels softer than the rears and im useing 40w oil in the front and 30 i think in the rear and the front end feels way softer than the rear?

Thanks,
Roberto
The way I measure droop is to set your ride height (say to 5mm) at both ends. Then lift the car up by the notch in the center of the shock tower to unload the suspension on that end. Set the car back onto your pit board but just barely. Let the tires touch but don't let the suspension on the end you're lifting compress at all. Then measure the ride height again in the same spot and figure the difference. If the second measurement is 8mm and your ride height is 5mm, you've got 3mm of droop. I run 3mm in the rear and 2 or 2.5mm in the front usually on outdoor asphalt. After I set it this way, I'll pull the wheels off and use the new Schumacher droop gauge to check and make sure both sides are perfectly equal. Just use small adjustments to equal them out so you don't make a major change to the actual droop setting and you should be good to go.

i was at the track today and this car is awsome! everything went well and is car is the bomb lol . right now im runing stock and runing the stock setup with tc4 shocks as i stated before i think im runing 45w sch stock oil in front and 40w ae oil in the rear with blue springs up front and silver in the rear . and the car kinda dives in the front when taking a turn but you could hardly feel or notice it

my question is should i go with 50w oil blue springs up front ? and why does the rear feels stiffer than the front are all cars like that? my tc4 was like that too but my pro 4 isnt you could feel which end is softer .

Tony should i lock my front diff up for TQ? is it worth it im just going to run stock and maybe 19t

Default 2005 ROAR ON-ROAD CARPET NATIONALS

Is anyone from Team Schumacher going to be running at the 2005 ROAR ON-ROAD CARPET NATIONALS @ Hobby Chambers in West Haven, CT?

This is my home track and am wondering if anyone will running at the race.

Losi XXX S- The reason that the front end of your car feels "lighter", is that it is. The leverage on the shock absorber is greater on the front end because the bottom of the shock has been moved in on the suspension arm to provide clearance for the wheel/ tire assembly as it turns. This means that with the same spring combo front and rear, that the wheel rate will be less in the front.

As for the oil, I have found that a front to rear split is usually necessary (for the reason stated above). 50wt will "tame" down the front of the car, and in most cases hold the weight over the front end slightly longer in a turn- giving you more exit steering and less initial (because it won't transfer weight to the front end as quickly when decelerating). The associated sping combo works well (blue/silver front, silver rear) on every track I have run on, so it is a good starting point.

No new car in the works for Schumacher right now. There are always new parts etc. being tested but as far as a new car goes, nothing in the works right now.
