Good luck Saturday Sherman. I won't make it up this week to So-Cal, got my order in today but no bumpers. And it came to late in the day (regular delivery) to go up tonight for off-road. So with next week's shipping schedule probably wont get to race for two more weeks. Merry Christmas to all!!!

Got my one-ways and some of them purplonium parts in today, so it's off to Stockton tomorrow to see how they work. Trying something new with the front bumper, too. We'll see how it goes!

My Mission Pro set-up after 1 day of practice.
  • Front:
    #3 top shock
    #1 lower shock
    #1 inner upper arm
    #2 outer upper
    #2 steering
    0* deg inner toe
    1/2* deg outer toe
    8.5* caster
    1.5* deg camber
    55wt oil
    RPM Green pistons
    Blue springs
    0mm droop
    steel blades
    standard swaybar
    6mm ride hgt
  • Rear:
    #4 top shock
    #1 lower shock
    #1 inner upper arm
    #2 outer upper
    0* deg inner toe
    1.5* deg outer toe
    0* deg anti-squat
    1.5* deg camber
    middle pos wheelbase
    50wt oil
    RPM Yellow pistons
    Blue springs
    0mm droop
    plastic blades
    standard swaybar
    6.5mm ride hgt
I really like using the RPM two stage pistons, they give the car a differant feel that you just have to try. However, if you use the stock shock shafts, you must modify the pistons to fit the thinner profile of the stock pistons. I also use the Losi gold shafts to make a smoother ride and easier install on the RPM's.
  • GM3 stock motor
    33t pinion / 116t spur / 17t pulley
    Proline Stratus
Sorex 36R w/ HPI green inserts
    Trinity Zip Grip 2 sauce
This set-up is for So-Cal's high bite track.

Has anyone installed the one way or the gray front belt yet? I am putting both in and I have a couple of questions. First, my grey belt is very tight, tighter than I would ever run it even with the adj all the way down. Do these belts loosen up a lot with use? Second, my one way has a lot of side to side movement when installed in the car, about .100. I dont think it will hurt anything but it doesnt seem right. Does Schumacher make shims I can put between the bearing and the outdrive?

Sorry, after measuring the side clearance it is about .055. Still way more than I would like to see.

ottoman-I don't know yet about the grey belt tightness, but the diff side-to-side movement I think is ok. It just means that the diff is free and not bound up in any way. On the Axis 2 I used to shim between the trans housings to make sure there was side-to-side movement and diffs were free. Made the drivetrain more free.

cornerspeed.... the front ball diff had about .010 side play wich is great but .055 could let one outdrive on the oneway to move off of the inner bearing. I didnt measure the inner bearing yet but they didnt look very wide. If it does come off the inner bearing it could cause damage to the one way bearing. I tried TC3 diff shimms but the inside diameter is too small. I guess I will just have to hunt up some shims somewhere.

I didn't check float when i had the one-way in the car and it's got a diff in now so can't check it.

The grey belts do generally loosen up quiet a lot, although mine is still a little tighter than the black one was.

My black belt was a little bit loose. But the new grey belt is way looser, with no run time on it. So I hope it doesn't stretch too much.

Mopar... My black belt was pretty loose, I had to move my adj up about 1/4 way and I run my belts loose. My gray is very tight, I was thinking of removing the adj untill it loosens up. I guess there is a big variance in belts.

this setup was a lottle pushy for me but, very easy to drive and I think a good base line for a high traction indoor "short" but fast course.... I am gonna try using the inner upper arm to hole #2 both front and back or mabey just front that should give me a little more agressive drive
