There is a a reason Shane set up reginal threads on here. Chit chat is one thing but to carry on conversations in a thread that it is not meant for is inconsiderate.

Maybe you could direct these people to your local threads and help promote your area tracks and help out the newbies at the same time. I hope what I said wasnt taken as sarchasm.

Not unless you want to strictly talk about Schumacher and nothing else.

What should I look for with a new car. Hop ups? Fixes? Any weak parts needing attention? Going to be running an Mi2 on carpet with foams. Thanks

The only hop-ups I would say are needed are the lowered shock towers and steel or Ti cvd's. The only parts I've broke are the front arms and caster blocks. Another really good hop-up is the alloy rear hubs. They make the car more adjustable and give more steering by freeing up the rear end a little.

I've taken some big hits, and so far all I've broke is a caster block, havent bent any hinge pins, or cracked any other pieces.. I like the alum spindles because it makes it easy to ensure the kingpin angle is straight and not off any when threading into the stock spindles.. Otherwise, like mo said, towers and some cvd's... should be all ya need

Default alloy rear hub Qs

I just purchased the alloy rear hubs and also the inboard mounts.

I have a few questions:

1) It looks like you can have inboard toe and outboard toe. What is the difference?

2) With the alloy rear mounts, it looks like you set wheel base by positioning the the plastic insert and using the set screw. Problem is, its impossible to find the exact same position each time. Maybe its something I am doing wrong. I am unclear to how this adjustment is suppose to work.

3) Is the point about adding a spacer under the ball joint on the top a way of tuning roll center? Adding more spacers lowers roll center? Is that right?

The paper instruction that comes with the rear hub is unclear.

4) One last question, which belt tensioner can I remove to loosen up the belt? I will be running Stock and 19T if it matters

Some help will be greatly appreciated

If you're going to be running a spool, I'd make sure to get a good supply of the CVD blades. Spools tend to beat them up pretty bad in the front and they need to be raplaced fairly ofthen. But again, this is only when running a spool.
