Harsh- Don't worry....Paul will take care of the problem. The car did look good today. We'll play more with your car on Saturday. I have some new things that I'm testing out this weekend that I didn't get to do last weekend. Hopefully I'll get a servo for racing on saturday.

Ok guys, I have a slight, problem. I am running xray shocks, and I am using shumacher lower ball cups that I cut shock to get them to work on the xray shocks. The problem is, when I set my droop to what I want (5-6 in front and 4 in rear), then when I set the car on the set-up board to set the ride height, I have a little preload in the shocks, as in, even when you pick the car up, and let the suspension drop to the droop screws, the springs are still hitting the shock colars. Now, I hate that, I dont want ANY pre-load in my shocks. Things that I have tried: Going to a "more droop" setting, but them when I turn the droop screws CCW, to get more droop, after like 4mm in the front, the droop screws dont touch anymore (what can i do to fix that?).
I have not tried to lengthen the shock yet, as in screwing out the lower shock ball cups on the shock shafts.

Any advice is thanked, and I really think this is what is making my car feel so stiff all the time, and real scatie on the track.

Default Harshguy....

What motor were you running in practice?I wanted to know what others have experienced when running a stock motor.I know Mo and Stlnlst rarely run Stock, but in the Bay at our small tracks most run stock or 19turn.My experience with the xray car with similar internal drive was that there was no acceleration advantage to shaft because of the low ratio pulley set.I am wondering if anyone else noticed the same with the MI2 with 1.8 internal drive.Man I cant wait to get this together.

I was running a 19T, and it seemed quicker to accelerate than my Losi did, I also seemed to be able to take it into corners with more corner speed than the Losi, tomorrow will be a better practice day I'm spending all day our there with both cars & Billy said he'll blow the track off in the morning.

YGM....... I'll have more to add to that set up after this weekend. Mo and I are running two different set up's due to our different driving stlyes and they both seem pretty good.

Oh yeah baby. It was only a matter of time after I brought Tessa home that he wanted to run her. Yokomo is no longer a power house at Speedworld. Mo's gone, Matt H. will be leaving after the Reedy so that make lil Alex the only trooper left.....if he can ever get his order shipped out when he places it...lol

Stlnlst, do I need to get a hold of Paul or do I take care of it through you?

....mo that was actually the "chant" I was doing ...I've been running the Losi since the 2001 Nats @ SWR, nothing wrong with the car, just ready for a change and I had a good experience with the Axis before I went to the Losi, so seemed like a "natural" for me.
