the springs are pretty soft. With the low bite that we have had here the softer set up seems to work better. The soft set up also worked pretty well on high bite carpet. I'm using the carpet towers front and rear and I'm all the way in on the front (may come out one hole or put on 2 degree caster blocks) and in the rear I'm one hole in from the outter hole.

Default Intro

Just thought I would introduce myself in this thread. My name is Jason Moberly and I am the newest member of the Schumacher Team. The last 4 years I have been running for Yokomo and before that was with Team Losi. I hope to bring a lot of quality help and advice to everyone. I have only run the car once so far but am very happy with the way it runs.

Cool man, welcome to the Team

Stlnlst, ya, I think I am definently going to go to 30wt and 35 like you, and stay with three hole pistons and try it.

hey, what mid pulley are you guys running, that is one of the few things that I have not tested yet, mainly because I usually run 64 pitch, but I am waiting on the gear adaptor, so I am limited on 48 pitch pinions

we have only run the 20. I plan on testing the 17 possibly this weekend.

Generally we use the 20t pully all of the time. I tested it a bit when we first got the mission. The 17t did give the car more bottom end, but the car didn't seem to have as much top end. Couldn't ever explain why this was the case, but it sure seemed like that.

Default pulley

I have ran both the 17 and the 20 pulley. All the factory drivers use the 20t. I didn't notice a difference when I tried the 17. You have to use a larger pinion to get the same gear ratio with the 17t. In stock I usually gear a 64 pitch 124/33 or 34 and in 19t I would go with a 124/35 or 36 pinion.
