Gav

Why have you played with both a diff and a Spool but not a oneway? would a oneway be your first thing to try

Hi Brad. Mi2 uses a different belt offset, therefore cant use the Missions oneway without some surgery...The Mi2 comes with a Diff, and exibits more steering out of the box using a diff, than our missions did using a oneway...

New and improved oneways are being produced, and should be out around the same time as the production kits...

Normally I would have tried a oneway straight away..car comes with a diff, and we were asked to test the car as it comes, the manual covers how to convert your front diff to a spool.

King-G......thanks for all of the info. I only drove a mission a couple of times so I won't be able to compare the Mi2 to the mission. I do know that my Losi was dialed so that's what I'll be comparing the car to. I really want to look into the drive train since I've been hearing nothing but good things about it. At my local track the drive train king (efficientcy wise) was the TC3 then the Losi/SD

Awol soldier...its pretty straight forward, as you would have guessed...remove the main diff balls, clean and reassemble...retighten so it wont slip

I went 1 step further by cutting out some thin cardboard into the shape of the diff rings and placed against the diff pully for extra padding out, as I was afraid of crushing the thrust assembly when tightening down...I also used some junk diff rings, so that I could save my good ones.

surprised how easily it locked, hardly any tension on the diff bolt, 4 runs and it hasnt shifted one bit...

personally I would go for the 20 tooth, for all but the tightest of tracks...especially with 540..as these things work best geared up

The Mi2 looked awesome at the birds, the guys did a great job with the car... Teemu was just plain ballistic. Nice to meet all the team drivers.
