Default Genesis Motors

Jason,
Yup, its the one and only. Thanks for the shout out. He has a neat site.
On the other hand, my racing went very well with the New Dirt Trix chassis. The belt tension is UNREAL. The smoothest I have ever seen, smooth like a TC3. You gotta have one if you run a mission. The car reacts so much quicker side to side, and now with the smooth drivetrain, I think it will be hard to beat. I just need a little more time to tinker with different setups.
I will be at THETRACK.COM for next weeks Team Orion race, anyone else?

Raul, how do your packs stay in well with no battery slots?

Default No Slots

The packs fit unbeleivably well for no slots in the chassis. Paul can make proper shims for the post to meet your cells, I use sanyo 3300's without a problem some with shrink and other without.

Default New Mission Owner Here....

Great forum!!

One quick question.... What other shocks will fit? i.e. Losi or AE? the reason I ask is that the shocks I have are not threaded and the cost to buy the Schumacher threaded bodies is more than a complete Losi set.

thx!

Default Alternate shocks

Losi shocks would likely fit, but if you want an alternate I would check out the HPI shocks myself.

Default Battery trix

To answer Axiom5b's question, there are two smal graphite rails bolted to the chassis. They are long enough to allow the battery to be moved and high enough to keep them from spilling out.

I believe Timmy Heiser runs Losi shocks on his car and I doubt cost for threaded shock bodies was an issue for Timmy....

Jason, thanks for the tip you did'nt even know you gave me. I remember you saying while we were on the stand at the 'birds that you had ditched your swaybars... Man, my car came alive... too bad it was just last weekend that I could finally try it out.
My Local shop bought the carpet from the birds, and just setup a new track.. www.mdiracing.com

I coming back to running Schumacher after a little layoff. I have a new Mission Pro coming that has been tricked some and never been run. I always have liked their previous touring cars so this should be no different.

Anything I need to know about them?

wyd.. If you havent already check out all the discussions on here about setups and stuff. There is a lot of info on here. As for hop-ups... make sure the car has the RW pullies for the diffs as those make the diffs a ton smoother. Also the carpet top deck stiffens up the chassis a ton. Those are all that you would really need. Its also nice to have the aluminum diff housings as well cause they help stiffen the car up too.

FreqETag.....I don't recommend other shocks for one simple fact, you will not be able to duplicate good setups or exchange setup info with other schuy drivers. Everytime your car is acting funny, you will always have to second guess your shocks. If you decide to go with different shocks, don't go with losi shocks. You should look at Xray or Tamiya shocks if you must go with another make
