So I take it that the 26mm foams will work fine? So sounds like the Mission made a great showing at the Birds.

Also sounds like the Birds now has a Super Battery
Controversy....man that will be an interesting story.

Bob Barry.. On carpet we run the stock chassis, and the optional carpet top deck. I'd say the stock top deck would be your best bet for outdoors.

Jeff.. Yea.. 26mm tires work just fine. The mission did have a good showing at the birds. The battery thing.. ehhh.. touchy subject. I thought it was funny that us guys running for SMC were said to be running handmade cells. Whatever though.. all it comes down to is Danny did his homework and had some of the newer date codes. Oh well.

The carpet top deck will do the on carpet as it does outdoors. It just takes a lot of the flex out of the car. If you take the flex out then it will take bite out of the car. So if you were on a high bite outdoor track then the carpet top deck might be a good thing to try.

Bobby...Man I bet. Danny does do his homework and gives great information on this site. What is the story on the batts are they truely a super cell or is it "racer exageration"? Cool to hear that the schumacher cars had a little extra punch.

Also what is the news on the new Reedy Mods? I think I saw PW had it listed on his Novak race setup sheet...help your fellow schumacher drivers out with the scoops...'

Thanks for all your info...almost like being there at the birds...!

Jeff.. I guess the newest datecodes are just awesome. I dont think they changed anything in the cell, but i could be wrong. I do think it was all blown way out of proportion.

As for the reedy motors.. they have a new can out with some crazy magnet stuff but I dont know for sure whats going on.

Thanks for the info.

What body did you like at the Birds? I saw that the Novak race was almost all Losi Alfa's...I like the Stratus 2.0 outside.

Jeff its good to see someone else is running a mission in the area, even though im in kc you are not that far from me, just put in new belts and the new pulleys and found a few other problems with the suspsen set up and am rready to try it out tue. I found that th AE springs work better since they are shorter. Hate to say this but i am ready for the nitro season to start, Jeff you might have heard we love to go fast, i think every one is running a mod of some sort this year (JP,Smeltz) with 30% or more im going to try the centax clutch on my ntc3.

maybe we will meet in person some time at one of your races on the blacktop, sorry my fellow racers dont care for concret.

Old Man- the smaller the number, the bigger the hole.

And yes, SMC's new batteries are head and shoulders above what we have been getting. There were a number of racers who greatly improved their qualifying times with the new cells- no other changes. Unfortunately, us mortals didn't get our hands on any of those cells. I'm wondering if we will even be able to purchase them or not. I'm fairly sure there is a limited quantity.

Danny from SMC said that the factory is working to raise the voltage on the 3300's and all of the latest GP cells should benefit from this change. I guess its time to buy new batts ... again

Jeff.. I ran the Stratus 2.0. I think the rest of the team ran the Losi body.

Bigdog.. Everyone will be able to get some of the cells. From what I understand the worst numbers SMC is getting are high 1.15's and 1.16's at 30.

Otto.. Even if you need to buy new batteries you only need to have 2 packs. I know thats still a decent amount of cash but its better then having to buy 5 or 6 new packs.
