Racerb, sorry that I could not get up to see you guys while visiting B.C. for the holidays. But I'm sure you know about family commitments. The farthest I got from Surrey, was to visit a slotcar track in Aldergrove ( Checkered Flag Raceway ) for a few minutes. Other than to visit the Vancouver Museum in North Van where one of my cousins works. If we get up there this summer will make an extra effort to visit you guys if I can bring my equip with me. Good luck with your racing.

Default Stronger upper-links F/R

Well Schumacher just sent me the new revised upper-links for the mission.....jk, lol, I wish! Anyways, I found a way to make the upperlinks stronger.

1: Purchase Team Losi Plastic Rod Ends for the sport RTR, part# A-6020, they're 12 ball ends for $4.50(retail).

2: Bore out the inside of the rod end(ball cup) with a 9/64" drill bit, very easy.

3: Thread the stock 4mm turnbuckle all the way into the arm part of the upper link.

4: Cut off 1-2mm of the Losi ball cup and thread all the way on.

5: Adjust

Cutting off 1-2mm's off the Losi ball cup enables you to have at least -3 degree's camber.

Here's a pic, sorry for the blurry image. This image is set at -2 degree camber and note how much meat of the ball cup is on the 4mm turnbuckle.

Mark G back in october you posted that the rear belt on your car seemed really bound up...what did you do to solve this promblem? The car feels very tight and bound up...not good at all. It has the 20 tooth on it and the holes are facing the right way in the support. Frustrated before I get started...it is a used kit...but in great shape...I need HELP...lol

Well frustration has not slowed down much....took the rear belt off to see how free it would be with the one grey belt on it...not any better...grey is very tight to. Put the stock black long belt on it and not any better...please tell me this is common and there is a way to fix it...!!!

Jeff, the RW pulley will free it up some, and an Xray Evo 2 rear belt will free it up even more. Check the plastice diff mounts to be sure they aren't sitting a little crooked or binding the rear diff up.

sounds like something is a miss Jeff, like Big dog said, sounds to me like a binding somewhere...

the drivetrain should feel like there is zero resistance...my friends and my car feel soo free it aint funny.

check there arent any seized bearings (diff support, layshaft and even hubs...

is it in the rear of the car?...could be a wonky diff support causing binding / rubbing.

take the belt off and see iff the diff spins freely back in place, then check the layshaft..etc

hope it helps some.
