Losi pistons are thinker that the stock ones. so you could just file/sand them down to get them to fit. If you didnn't want to do this you could run losi/ae shafts, but i think they are both shorter than std. Although i think i have heard it said that the losi ones were useable.
Personally i wouldn't swap. I think they are slightly better pistons as i prefer the material that they are made from, but they have a smaller diameter so have quite a bit of oil flowing round the outside of them which makes small adjustments difficult.

Surge...I was too busy chewing up spur gears to see your rear windshield...got that problem fixed, apparently and made it through all racing last Sat without shredding a spur. Not sure what was causing that, but you gotta admit it made a cool sound...

Well Guys, 2 great wins for the Schumacher today! I TQ'ed for the Amain but was beat by BigDogRacing who also drives a mission. BTW, The "Automatic Start" on the KoPropo Mars will not work with a Novak Atom ESC. That jurnts coming out tonight!

Proudwinner....Mission also showed well in Austin...I qualed second behind Toastie, who recently made the switch to Xray...he was on rails. In the A main, I got a great start and got out in front of him and stayed there until about 1 min left, when a guy I was lapping for the second or third time took me out...ended up second, but the Mission was flying around the track...

Yes Ralph and I did well this weekend with the Schuies. Nobody else was even close in lap times.
Mark, if your p/l track is similar to ours, I have a setup I want you to try out. It's just a beginning, but maybe you, Ralph and I can work it into a good one. I'll post it ASAP.

Big Dog...I've got a great setup going for medium traction asphalt/rubber tire. Been running with sway bar f/r, but going to try without up front to see how it feels. The setup I'm running is very similar to that posted on this site by others previously...I got it from Larry Pryor, and modified slightly for track conditions (and because I didnt have the shock oil weight he used at the house).
You posted a link to a setup sheet as a pdf file (I've still got it). Can that be used and saved ina nother format so it can be posted? Havent played with it yet...just filled out your cool sheet and printed. If so I can post setup pretty easily...

markg - I posted that very same setup sheet by filling it out then taking 2 screen shots, 1 of the top half and 1 of the bottom, and joined them together in Paint Shop Pro 7. I then saved it as a jpg and compressed ity a bit to get it under the 100Kb limit. It takes a little while to do the first time but as you do more you get quicker, i can do it now in less time than it takes me to fill it out.

Hey Jason, just looking over your setup sheet...pretty interesting.
I was wondering what would be the closest in the schumacher vari piston setting to the losi pistons you ran.?..(3 hole)?
also I noted you ran associated springs...are they long enough?...I remember them being pretty short when I had a tc3.
Forward wheelbase at the front...I have tried this a long time ago..curios to hear what you felt it did to the cars handling.
and the upper bulkhead positions...WE have found this to take grip away, is this a contributing factor to the good corner speed you had?..
I noted you ran inline positions on the hubs both front and rear...did you run standard bulkheads or fusions?
interesting setup, I might try a few things for an upcoming control tire event..(Takeoff 27's_open inserts)
