This is the carpet setup with foams that i ran yesterday, it was the best the car had ever felt on carpet. I dont know if the type of carpet is the same as US tracks but it should work on most UK tracks. (i had 2 compress the pic a bit to get it under the file limit)

Racer X- Thanks for the help with the Schuie yesterday. Everyone has their own driving style and Scott's car didn't fit mine. Dominic's car feels just like mine and that's why I can always drive his over other team driver's. The Losi (IMO) is still easier to work on. See ya in a couple of weeks.

good to see more and more people trying the fusion bulkhead, for those who havent, definately give it a go for foams or rubber, allows you to run the Inline Position, but using a short link. The bulkhead is much wider than standard.
Try it in the front of the car first

Gives better cornerspeed, and steering response.

Although I tested running it also in the rear of my car on foams yesterday on a fully prepped VHT track and it caused the car to lose some steering, but still managed similar laptimes the car felt very locked in, almost like I couldnt get the rear to pivot. with some minor changes to setup Im sure it could have been as good if not better than standard.

Ian - you're on the wrong tyres.
Blues feel nice to drive at hinckley but they don't give enough grip to be competitive. You need to be on purples or greens. Greens give slightly more grip but wear much faster and will chunk if you crash. Purples feel much easier to drive than greens and are what Rinylo and Triff were running at the end of last season.
You'll probably find you need less additive on the front with grippier tyres.

3mm seems a bit low on the ride height as well. I'd go to either 4 or 5 mm all round. Any lower and the car will bottom out on the bumps but higher than that and the car will roll too much.
(Well my tc3 rolls anyway, Rinylo and triff always seem to have very high ride heights though adn get away with it)

Who was running buggy on Saturday?

Hey guys Im sorry to say that I have chosen to go with another car over the schumacher. I just wanted to say that this thread is one of the best on the net and I will stop by from time to time. Thanks to all you guys on here and good luck with everything.

Also a big thanks to Paul and Adrian at Schumacher USA for their support for many years. They are some of the nicest people that I have ever met and raced for....who knows I might be back in a mission but its just time for something new.

Thanks for everything guys.

Ian That's very odd if blues are working, because I gained over half a second a lap when I stopped running them at Hinckley. It wasn't just a slight change it was a massive difference. I was even using the same additive you are. The only thing I can think of is that the fact it is the first time the carpet has been used for ages may be affecting things somehow.

Are you sure they are blues?

And why has this post appeared on my screen as being earlier than the post I am replying too? Something funny is going on with the times here.

DW - Tell that to Cosgrove!! i was easily faster than him, with my fastest lap 1/10 second quicker than his. I would have got FTD but for a crash with a backmarker on the last lap, i ended up being 3 seconds off him. If you come down you can have a go with it in practise. There wasnt many people running buggies just the ussual suspects (chris kirk ect)

Teacher.....Yeah Im trying to sell everything I have E-mail me at [email protected] for the details if you are looking for a dialed ride and lots of spare parts at a good price.

Im going to pick up one of the new XXXS(porn) graphite cars when they are out. Ive ran Schumacher cars for 3 to 4 years and before that it was the street weapon so I guess Im going back to my roots but I will always be a Schumacher fan. The car isvery good I just need to try something new.

Hey Guys...long time. After a quick browse, looks like this is still the best thread on the net. Getting the Mission ready to do battle again after a prolonged sabatical from racing. have just gone through the car completely, and installed the raised roll center mod (thanks Larry Pryor and Racer X for info and parts help)....

Now, any other goodies/tips that have surfaced since mid summer...I'll spend some time trying to catch up this evening, reading through the older posts...

Talk to you guys soon...
