The only thing I think you can do is replace it. At $12 a belt it really does sting when you have to replace one..... You wouldn't believe the number of broken Losi belts I saw laying around at the track in Gaithersburg......

Wow James, that sounds like about a $50 mishap!!! Don't you just hate it when one little part lets go and takes out another $40 worth of parts!!!

When my rear grey belt let go it just ripped the inside loose from the outer reinforced part. I guess that 9x2 has some nutz...hehe

Damn dude,You guys got some horror stories. I once had my T-MAxx so lean that the rod shot out through the case and out of my truck. I was missing a 1/4" of my rod Also with them stock t-maxx motors ive had my Glow pplug strip threads and shoot through the roof. Weird things happend i guess

On the subject of broken belts anyone broken a rear black belt? This was with a 12X2, i guess something could have got in the drivetrain. I was flatout down the straight when the revs sundenly rose and the car rolled to a stop, it couldn't have been to much stain on the belt or it would have broken under acceleration. Robin Schumacher was at the race, he said he'd never seen anything like it before...

Ian, yes i have. Indoors running an 11 turn i think. There was however some warning. the tooth side of the belt started to go white and the belt was loosening up. Then it started to skip a bit, then finally the same as you had. It ended up as just a stringy mess!!

When i rebuilt it both pullies were a little worse for wear as well, so not sure if either of these atarted to go and took the belt with it, or the other way round. I haven't done it since i have been runnig alloy layshaft pully, and i have been running some belts that have been ground very thin (i.e you can see the fibres!)

I've got a Mission on sale myself over on the trading boards. With the grey front belt and gear adapter. For $190, but willing to deal.

I'm dissappointed Dark. You were doing so well with the Mission. Where else are you going to find the customer care and product support like you have with Adrian and Paul?

Well, I wish you luck with your next car!

gotyournumber- Ruben came to me for some ponies since he knew about last weekends run at Speedworld. I was planning on running stock if there wasn't a mod class so you know I came prepared....lol This motor was faster than the green cars last weekend but Doug is smooth and HARDLY EVER makes a mistake. Racing with him is always fun because he pushes you to be a better driver. I'll see you on the rug in two weeks. I'm taking next weekend off to get everything ready for carpet.
