Default Fusion?????

ADRIAN or PAUL---- any information on the Fusion w/ .12, like will the kit include an engine, and which one if it will, also will it include a pipe/header, and will the lay-out be the same as the .21 fusion??? Will the .12 version use the same 10mm wide front belt???? If so I may have to look into splitting it down the center......

I read a while ago that some of you were using Losi shock shafts and pistons. I assume that you were the .36 Losi shaft. According to my measurements the Losi shaft is .16" shorter than the stock shaft. Will this allow enough droop? Also what Losi piston is closest to the Vari-piston set to two holes?

Thanks in advance for your help.

RAcerdave, I adjust droop first then set the shock length to that max droop, seems to work fine for me. Although I dont use the Losi pistons because with the rounded sides you would need to use a heavier oil than with a squared piston. I prefer the RPM two stage pistons myself for the stiffer compression and softer rebound that it offers.

I may be wrong, but with droop screws, the only reason for setting the shock length is to adjust/limit the travel of the arm at full compression.

Any thoughts on that?

Sorry if I misstated the intent. But w/ the Losi gold shaft the length (on mine) needs to be adjusted (longer) to match the droop setting.

Guys I run the Losi gold shock shafts and have no problem with getting enough droop. I run my shocks at 67mm long just like I would with the stock shock shaft. The Losi shock shaft that I run is the standard one not the short one they run in the front. Im not sure where you guys are having trouble getting enough droop are your shocks long enough? I run my shocks this long so I can use the shock in any location and not worry about not being able to get enough droop.

Bigdogg.....the droop screws limit the down travel and the over all lenght of the shock will effect the up travel but the shock might have to be longer in the down travel to get the desired droop then it is need in the up travel. Does this make sence to you? You can limit the up travel by placing spacers on the out side of the shock shaft and still run the shock long to get the droop you need. If the shock is too long then when the shock is at full compression you might be hitting the shock shaft into the top of the shock body which can bend the shock shaft or make the car react funny. I hope that I did not confuse you more with this but its hard to explane.

Thanks Kevin. No, you didn't confuse me. I already knew that, but I didn't want to say that was the only reason when there could be others. As I've gotten older I've found out that I actually DON'T know everything....lol

jscott & Racer X- Congrats on the wins this weekend. BN RACING was qualified 1,2,3 in mod but had a few unlucky incidents that didn't go our way. Jon a spot on the team is still here for you if you want it.

Yeah. I went there due to speedo borrowing (keyence blew up) and my carpool buddy couldn't go to Ripon this week. I will be there no matter who's driving this weekend.
