Grats Mike!

Don't worry, you can still call me all hours of the night asking me for design and setup ideas. What was your quote, "you know how it works, you just can't make it work on the track." hahahaha F U

S1 Mi3.5 use the same setup as Mi3.5. At least, my S1 Mi3.5 manual is the same as the Mi3.5 Pro manual that both share the same setting. This is Carpet Rubber (indoor) setting...I change only a little thing for USVTA use.

I've got one. It gives alot more support to the rear of the body and makes the car feel a bit more stable.

Thought I'd post a link to Chris Grainger's current 'standard' carpet setup which he's been developing int he UK.

I'm told his car looked really good and was keeping Elliot Harper on his toes until he rolled it.

For rubber/carpet

i need a gearing suggestion for SP 6.5 and 5.5 in the Mi3, and would switching back to 48 pitch gears be a good idea? outdoor asphalt prepped surface.

for the 5.5 depending on the track size i would start around 8.0 to 8.5 for the 6.5 7 to 7.5 fdr, 48 pitch is all i run outdoors a 85t sour is a great choice for the MI3 with i i can get from the mid 4's to the 13.0's fdr range.

Why is he using HPI springs? What's wrong with Schumacher springs?

He is also using Yokomo oil and tamiya pistons as these were what he was used to when running for Yokomo.

He has said that he wanted to get the basics of the setup right using some of the parts that were 'known quantities' for him.

He is now going to start using Schumacher pistons and oils to get the combinations right.
He will also start outdoor testing soon.
