Good a spot as any. Appreciate it.

Anybody with a rubber tire (jaco blue, jack the gripper) setup for 17.5 on a temporary club track?

I just want to get a base "anything" on a new car before we get to the track.

Many thanks,
-Bob

And I run the 90t 38t Pin in 13.5 with one hell of a heatsink and fan

Cool, will do. Just finished the car. Can't wait to try it out. Weighs in at 1537gr. I'm happy with that. That JR servo is a beast, and I have a full brass tray on the battery side. I think I can get it to 1500 pretty easily. Even if I have to put another servo in it. I haven't checked it side to side yet.

Default Back in the club

Hi Guys,

I've just bought a brank spanking new Mi3.5pro.

I'm reading through the thread and trying to find setups for rubber on carpet and also looking for pictures of cars setup and ballast positions (b/less & LiPo).

If anyone can shortcut me to some helpfull stuff I'd appreciate it.

I used to race the original Mission back in 2002-3, then after an RC sabatical I bought a 415 from a club guy who was retiring, and have stuck with it until now, even though I was tempted by the Mi2 EC and Mi3 in turn. But for the new year purple finally lured me back in.

So I've got the car and I'm going to try to get it ready to run this Sunday! If anyone can help me with knoledge before then that'd be great.

Cheers, Chris.

Hi Chris,

I have posted some pics and some words of my BL/LiPo layout on the Schumacher forum http://www.racing-cars.com/forum/for...?TID=8775&PN=2
For the setup you might as well start with the Chris Ashton's 2008 setup that you can find on Schumacher site, it's as good starting point as any other. If you have fast Schumacher guys at your track it might be better to get their setup first and see how that goes.

Thanks Olev, I'll look at that.

Can anyone tell me are the rings to position the belt on the diffs necessary? Seems like extra weight....

And I've seen some people are swapping the belt sides. Is that just to give more room for electronics and shift LiPo's to the side?

The extra inner rings on the diff pulleys are not needed just the outer ones to keep the belt on the pulley.

You can flip the drive train so that you can move the electronics in closer to the center and move the lipo further out on the battery side. With this setup I feel the car is more balanced left to right with out much more weight added to the lipo to offset the electronics. This is how I have my car laid out I will take a picture when I have time and post it.

Where can I find a 96 tooth spur that will fit my Mi3.5 pro?

Thanks,
Joe
