But be carefull about doing it on EC...you have to use the EC raiser plates and place them under the bulkhead, but that will also raise the entire bulkhead up (or down) along with the shock tower, shock upper position, the roll center inner mount...

Looking for a little gearing help for an Mi3 i just picked up.
Car will be running 540 Pro class, and lipo packs if that makes any difference.

It has an 89 Spur (which was already on the car) and i dont have any other spurs for it. What pinion should i go for with the 540-J motor? Track is asphalt, generally high speed track with a few technical sections.

I would prefer to keep it with the 89 spur for now, but if that wont work in 540 Pro let me know Im pretty sure its 48 pitch aswell.

Thanks in advance.

P.S Please dont say move to mod class, as our club is small so there is no mod class but instead most run 540 pro.

I have not run silver can outdoor for awhile. But general rule about silver can for outdoor, final drive is around 4.00 and keep checking your motor temp (160 or less)...may be add extra FANS blowing toward the motor will work.

Go to here...

www.gearchart.com

There you will find the gearchart creator, click on there, and choose Schumacher Mi2 with 20T pulleys (same as Mi3)...once you are in there, punch in the 89 spur, and 40 pinion...then a table will list using a 40 pinion with 89 spur you will get a 4.01 final drive. So you should stock a 39, 40 and 41 pinion so you can move around the FDR. I would definitely try the 39 first and check the speed of the car and temp of the motor before heading to the 40 and 41 pinion.

Hiya.
Newbie here - so a pretty basic question - but what wheels and tyres can I go for?
I have a schumacher mi3.5 and me and some mates are gonna be doing some drag racing between us for a laugh, so emphasis is on style and speed - hence want something more interesting that plain revlites.

Problem is I got some Ansmann Fuse's and they run on the rear wishbone. What type of wheels can I use and what should I look out for?

Thanks

Here you go. The instructions for how the team builds diffs start post #4.

Let's Build a Schumacher Mi3!

Note that everything in the Mi3 build thread also applies to the Mi3.5

Add a wheel spacer or you can get Wider rear Hexes....I think the ones from the MI2(not EC) or Fusion will work....or you can go with any of the other wider hexes on the market just make sure that you space them properly.
