Joe,
I am joining you as a new Schumacher Mi3 driver (switched over from AE TC5) and had the same questions as you did. Cant wait to get my car running in 13.5 carpet rubber!

I don't hit much stuff so I dont need a ton of crazy spares just the stuff that seems weak and any recommended tuning options. This is my first rubber tire car so I figured I would start with the best. I normally run carpet/foam but the rubber class is picking up steam. Most of the guys are running Jaco Greens so any setup info would be great too.
Thanks!
Joe
hi joe I would say the pdub front bumper extra caster block's and some front arms and a few steering nuckles all tho I haven't broke much outside cracked c hub and a front arm but I run the c/f front arms and not the med ones

Default East Coast Bodies

Adam or Shawn,

Have any of the East Coast Bodies been submitted to ROAR for approval? Seems as there are not many bodies on the approved list, and Asphalt Nationals are coming up soon. Thanks.

My Mi3 arrives today! I am itching to get out of work so that I can go home and get it setup to race tomorrow.

I am looking at getting some CORE 5000 lipo packs. I currently use Yeah Racing 3200 lipo packs. What is the height of a CORE 5000 pack? Is it less than 0.9 inches? I plan on using a PPDBillet.com steel tray for additional weight underneath the battery. They have the following info on their website:
Schumacher Mi3 and XRay T208 with low profile batteries .900" max. height.
Plate footprint .035 x 1.96 x 5.4

Any help would be appreciated.

Core 5000 is 23.5mm tall, which is taller then 0.9"....I don't know exactly what you are trying to add but the CORE 5000 fits the Mi3 like a glove without any modification. I use battery tape, and hand mod 2 piece of plastic and double side tape it to the bottom of the 5000 to secure the battery. Thats all.

Hi Chirag,

the CORE5000 packs are distributed by Schumacher USA and work perfect with the MI3. They are 23.5mm tall, and the MI3 can take up to 25mm Lipos, so you're covered.

I am using the TC5 base weight from this website to add weight to my car:

http://www.ppdbillet.com/RC_accessories.html

I just want to make sure that the combination height of the base weight and the lipo pack will provide enough clearance without having to modify anything.

Before you buy those...I strongly recommand you to get a hold of a CORE 5000 first before ordering those UNDERSIDE pieces weight. I am sure the SIDE piece are OK, not so sure about those BOTTOM piece.

When I added 2 piece of plastic strip and double side taped them at the bottom of my lipo, I had difficult time to remove the lipo because I don't have too much room to "TILT" the lipo up and slide the battery out because the bottom pieces does not have the clearence to clear those battery slot.

From the pic, those bottom weight looks thicker (as thick as the chassis)...I am not so sure once you have added those pieces, you can still slip the core 5000 out.

My solution is I dremel the edge of the plastic in angle in order for me to slide the pack out....not sure you can dremel those metal thingy. BTW..I use regular weight from AE...those are too fancy for my taste.

I use a Core 5000 and use weights that fit into the slots, there is barely enough room to get the pack in and out.
I think you'll find anything that adds to the height of the pack won't fit.

Solara/Skiddins - Thanks for the heads up. I already have the underweight since i used it on my TC5. I will have to get a CORE 5000 pack and see how it fits with the weight. I also use the diggity designs lipo holder so I may have to make some modifications so that I can get everything to work properly. Wont know until I get all the pieces together.
