Darkseid, I installed mine out of the packet and have had no problems. Also took some measurements. With black belts after 20 packs through them, the current to drive the car (in the air) at 5 volts was 7 amps. With brand new grey belts (and not a single other change) the current needed was only 6.1 amps.

Its a 50/50 split on what driver prefer to run. If you run Greys run them out of the bag. If you run Blacks soak them in WD40 overnight before using them.

Thanks for dropping the knowledge on me guys.

BagofSkill: thats a pretty interesting test you did. I never thought of doing test like that. One thing that I've noticed is that without the rear belt on the car, the drive train is easily as free as a TC3. It seems to be the rear belt that is adding that little bit of extra drag that keeps the car from being as free as the Losi or Associated.

But, this weekend I will try both the front and rear grey belts. I'll see if I like them. My car is already running great, so they certainly can't hurt.

ahh, please rephrase that..my car is already free'r than the local team losi guys. Its all in that rear belt though, if you run stock, definately run teh grey rear belt and the front belt. For Mod we run just the grey front.

Also I have found the Diff bearings to be a big culprit, I have installed tamiya blue seals for teh Diff supports...they are the nicest bearings I have ever used.

now looking for an alternative for the hub bearings...as I have had a few seize up on me.

HEy Adrian, whats the deal, hows it going?! Do you know where we can find info/results for the ONROAD NATS? I couldn't make it with the rest of the team this time, but I heard that its going to be poor in attendance anyways!? so for that reason i am not really that dissapointed.

Corey, I should be flying in Thursday afternoon so I hope to be able to post here about what is happening. I will also be taking the camera with me to post pictures when I get back. So you shouldn't need to look any further than here, knock on wood.

PW is testing the Warp Speed Chassis. They will run what each driver thinks is fastest. Alex TQ'd and finished 2nd in stock in a warm up race at the Nat Track last weekend with a stock chassis. He will be trying the Warp Speed chassis this week.
