for one race last summer i played with 5 cell foam asphalt with a 3.5, it was so fast and stuck i drove it like a stock motor, of course i dumped but i didn't care. most fun i had in a long long time.

and i don't care what anyone else thinks, foam tires with electric rock on asphalt, the heck with tradition

You should be OK. Just put your receiver behind the battery pack and your balance should be pretty close.

I've seen some guys running LiPo putting the speed control behind the battery for balance, have you seen much of this, and maybe some others could touch on the balance it brings.

I would assume it would help because there's more weight on the battery side, the motor phase wires are longer **adding weight**

If you haven't seen or tired it, maybe someone who has could shed some info on doing this, I was thinking of trying it out in a few weeks.

I believe that Troy S. is running the ESC behind the lipo pack

Can any of you recommend how to get more/quicker steering in general?

I'm really after getting more than enough so I can dial it out when necessary.
Would moving the front wishbones backwards make any difference etc?

Thanks
Skiddins

sure changing the wheelbase can effect the steering but so will changing the shock oil ,rollcenters, and springs. which way do you won't the extra steering on power or off power this way your setup can be talyored to your driving style smooth or agressive

Couple of things....

1) More caster
2) Shorten camber links....
3) Harder springs will make your car react faster....but, could also make it push

not sure about the moving the wishbones, maybe Yoda Goetz can confirm or shoot down my suggestions...
