Aaron, go to gearchart.com and choose the 1.8 option for Schumacher. You will need a 70t spur and a 36t pinion to get teh required 3.5 fdr or 56mm rollout. The 70t (48 pitch) is a schumacher part and the pinions - I use RW - are readily available in the zone of 35 through 38.

Whats the transmission ratio for the Mi3 and where do you get your rollout charts from?

Also for running a 17.5 brushless, what pinion/spur combos are people running? For a range of tracks from smallish to large open types.

I here the rollouts need to be somewhere between 50-60mm for the 17.5.

Cheers
Aaron

If you want to stay with 64p you can also go to a 90/50 combo for a 3.2 FDR

Yeah, I've heard the same thing about 17.5 rollouts. Personally, I don't see how people do it. The temp of the motor really starts to climb when you get up above 52mm of rollout, so to think of people running 56mm, is just nuts! And I can only assume those are some pretty large, open, tracks people are running those rollouts on.

In any case, I run on a relatively small carpet track, and I pretty much stick to the 48-52mm range.
