Randy- Heck no!! As far as R/C is concerned I can only apply myself to a few things at a time, and painting bodies isn't one of 'em.
On a side note, the 2 P-dub set-ups that I'm comparing is the 'bigtrack' one & the 'Kraceway' one. One uses 3-hole pistons drilled to 1.2mm & the other, 2-hole pistons drilled to 1.2mm. Same oil though....was there more grip at Kraceway callin' for the 2-hole pistons?

Thanks Jon
You don't really see it but the DNA1 has black scalloped ghost flames; and the MazdaS6 (which you can see) has the Magenta scalloped ghost flames.

abailey21: Just ended my race day with a sheered off pin in my universal as a result of using the spool. So...Got a couple questions.

1. Is Schumacher still offering to replace the universals of people who had the crappy original ones from the kit launch?

2. Is there anything I can do to replace the pin in my damaged universal.

3. What is the part number for the universals with the non-crappy pin.

This is annoying to say the least. The car was handling so well with the spool, but I've been avoiding running it for just this reason. In this case I brushed the boards at quarter throttle while getting ready to start the main. Snap!...instant 3 wheel drive.

1. If you have the purple ones from te original run of kits 2 things; 1. I'm surprised it lasted this long, 2. I will swap them.

2. You could always just get a pin and shim kit, but I would rather swap them personally.

3. U3020

Call me at the shop tomorrow

I really cant sympathize with your frustration only because this issues with the CVD's was made very public well before my time at Schumacher. I'll gladly swap them out for you but I would have sent them in the second I knew there was an underlying issue with them. I hope this helps and you can call me in the morning so I can get 2 pair sent out to you.

I wasn't trying to get anybodies sympathy, so I'm not sure where that came from. I'm simply a customer asking about the replacement of defective part.

You said you weren't around at the time, but when the replacements were originally offered, (I thought) you had to send in the originals to get the replacements, which ment no running your brand new, $400 car after waiting through a couple months of delays. Add to that, there was a shortage of the replacements when it was first offered.

If we were told to simply call and replacements would have been sent like your saying now, then I guarantee I would have replaced them as soon as it was revealed. But sending in the originals from a brand new kit, and waiting for the replacements, with replacement shortages thrown in (so if you sent yours in and there were no replacements, you were screwed), was not good. I just wanted to run the danged car, so I ran the diff and waited to replace them and it just slipped my mind.

So I guess I'll take the 'blame' for that... But I wasn't trying to get anyone's "sympathy". I was just asking was the offer still open...

So thanks for honoring the original offer and I'll give you a call tomorrow.

Let me make sure before I say that...

Do I need the send the originals in?

If so, do you need the whole universal or just the dog bone?
