Yeah, you would. I guarantee neither company will back up any custom wiring you do to their circuit board. Thats why Novak gives you external plugs on their board, so you dont solder on it and mess it up. LRP has set wire lengths that just like the Speed Passion you would have to solder onto the circuit board to change. No company is going to honor a warrantee if you change something from the origional.

For all the black stuff I just use rit dye, works on almost any plastic material, as you can see the black springs and transponders as well.
got it, thanks.

so over the last 4 years the esc's that i have had repaired with black 14 or 18 awg wire they mistakenly fixed at no cost to me ? . If they have solder tabs externally.. at least LRP will take care of it.. unless thats what screwed things up.. but I don't screw things up when I melt metal lol

I opened the cases of 2 speed controls, unsoldered the wires that connect to the reciever and switch, and wired my own on. Of course you can change the motor/battery wires with no warrantee issues.

Chris,

In that pic you have the Futaba 2.4 FAAST RX with the antenna just tucked away. Is that how you run it? Do you even have to put those types of antennas up with a tube?
