It's the UK release, not the US one.

Not sure why not brass, though. Much easier to machine and cheaper, too.
I think it's oxodizing? that can give steel a black finish.

Except in anodizing, the part is reduced in size with acid to build the color layer back up to the exact original size.

And any powder coater I have ever used never put down a 5 micron layer of paint on ANYTHING.

Steel, not stainless. Stainless does not oxidize.

This is true, Usually if you mic the anodized part. 70% of the time the part comes out smaller than when you send it. Thats why you have to mask critical areas, such as bearing bosses and whatnot. Powder coating in practical usage by most shops will add up to 5 tho of material. We are not talking microns here boys...

jesus, how about a can black paint. then you can have black, black pearl, gloss black, flat black, baby back black, blackin black, beat it to death black. and then when you don't like how it came out, motor spray it, powder coat it, and take a dremel and open the slots up a hair so it fits.

a guy comes up with a fantastic product and the complaining begins.

play nice or i will ask him to only make one,, for me. well maybe two.
