Darkside- I think that the reason for the spy shots of the TC3 was because it's their first touring car. In Losi's case it's their first real TC from the ground up. The Schumacher has always been a great car so I'm sure the wait will be worth it. I'm glad that they are still testing and changing things before the car comes out. I would hate to see a mission 2 by the next Reedy race......LOL

Racer X- I'll see you tomorrow at Ripon. I think that there will be enough racers to run mod so I don't get to run with you.

STLNLST: Yeah, I'm sure it will handle well. I hope your right about not seeing the Mission2 before the next Reedy race! LOL!

Schumacher has only come out with one car a year for at least the last four years (I still remember the year that Yokomo came out with three cars in one year), and its always been an evolutionary thing carrying over parts from the previous year (instead of designing an entirely new car from scratch). If you wanted to, you could always update the previous years car to the new car for less than buying a new kit (in fact, some years had update kits availible). There WON"T be a new car before the Reedy...and the hop up parts will be availible before the Reedy too (unlike the hop up parts for the Losi...wheres the one way?).

The reports I've heard on the testing are VERY exciting... .3 to .5 sec a lap faster than the A2?

Racer_X: We were just joking man! Jezzz! Didn't mean to get you all excited. I don't actually think a Mission2 is coming anytime soon. And even if it did, no one says people have to buy it right away. Heck I still use my '99pro.

Yokomo actually came out with the three cars in less than a year, so that makes it even worse. But, in fairness, they all had upgrades MR4tc->Pro->Worlds->Special.

Where is Schumacher doing the testing at? Any of it here in the U.S.?

Darkside - Are you the same Darkside that populated the Corally thread on www.rctouring.com?

Darkside: I wasn't jumping on you, I race with STLNLST and I hear things like that from him all of the time (he used to run Schumacher and I think he misses it or he wouldn't come by here so often)...I guess I was cranky this morning. Nothing was directed towards you. I was thinking of the Yokomo YR4-m2J, YR4-m2 USA, and the MR4tc where nothing was the same from the previous cars (that is when I started running Schumacher), so I guess Yok has done this twice now.

Most of the testing is in England, but Paul is testing a hybred car in FL.

The Mission is coming with a new type of low friction, extra flexible belts which is were some of the effeciency is coming from.

Release date is still Nov 1 as of Thursday. If you are wanting one, be sure to pre-order it since the first run is almost (if not already) sold out.

Oasis2001: Oh, yeah! Theres only one Darkside! Except no substitues! LOL!

I'm also the Darkside that occasionally hits the RC Car Action and YokomoUSA boards. And a long time ago, the Trinity board. The only "R/C" place that I go by anything else is on the about.com "buy/sell/trade" board. Since thats about to close down, I guess I should say the only place is its replacement, the Hobbytalk.com buy/sell/trade board. On there I go by "GregCres".

I still populate the Corally thread on this board too. But, I also run a '99pro in our local spec. class. So I'm interested in the mission and what it might improve over that car.

Racer_X: I was just making sure. I know some people can get quite pissed if they think your saying something bad about their favorite brand.

Super flexable belts huh? It will be interesting to see how that extra long center belt handles skipping. I saw the belt tensioner in the CAD pictures, I hope that will be enough. I'm glad to see that it will come standard with the aluminum motor mount.

The new (ultraflex) belts seem nice. I have them in my A2, they are much softer and hence more flexble than any of the older belts.

max, you can run the '99 front mount, but it will alter handling. you'll need heavier/stiffer oil/springs. it sits nice-n-low then.

Yeah with some shells it can hit the top of the shock mount. I have just filed it down a bit, that was enough for the shell that i am running. If you are running laydown shock angles then you might want to just put the 99 mounts on.
