I have lead weights on my pack that's a snug fit down in the battery slots & I just tape my lipo down. My lipo isn't going anywhere. Shoe-goo'n the lipo in the car will be a bit cumbersome when it comes to working on the car...not a good solution.

I just bought myself a Mi3 and I remember a while back that there was a thread about the build. Does anyone have a link for that or is there anything I should know before I start? Is it straight forward like the Mission, Mi2, and the EC? Also what are the hot carpet rubber setups? Thanks

I do not run my Core pack in the same place as a 6 cell NiMh pack. I run my Core even with the edge of the chassis. This reduces the weight needed to balance the car left to right by A LOT!

I use double sided Scotch brand tape on the carbon ribs between the cell slots. This tape is just as thin as normal Scotch tape but it has adhesive on both sides. This keeps the packs from shifting in the car. I then run a band of strapping tape around the normal slots to hold the pack in place.

If I need to change gear ratios I remove the strapping tape and pop the pack off the chassis. The scotch tape is good for 3-4 batt removals before you need to replace it. You can peel it off the classis and the pack and remove residue with motor spray.

Adrian, how much weight are you actually adding to your lipo to balance the car out? My Core is flush with the chassis but the weights added to it is hanging 'outside' the by as much. Brett Sisley took a look at my car and the car was balanced dead nuts L to R & Frt. to Back. My only discrepancy is the weight on the four corners. Not by much but enough to bother me

Hey guys im having a problem with my mi3 in that i cannot get it to track straight. What do you guys use on your servo? The servo saver that comes with the kit, a std servo horn or an aftermarket saver? I have tryed all 3. I ended up with a kimbrough servo saver and that was the best. But the car would track difrent everytime i got it onto the straight for the next lap. I know its not my servo because i got fed up of the mi3 not tracking right and then went back to my mi2 with the same electrics and it was perfect.
