I'll take a couple of pics later.

I only elongated the hole with the balance tap to make sure it didn't rub against the bulkhead.

The alloy battery posts come with 1mm spacers, add 2mm more for a total of 3mm spacers under the post and servo tape the CF strap to your pack and you should be good.

We also shaved a bit off the end of the case so we could easily clearance the balance plug, I'll try and find some pics today.

I have had problems with tweaking when using battery braces and lipo's in sedans. I eventually ended up with a permanently tweaked chassis. I have had a lot of success with no tweaking using lexan keys taped to to the bottom of the lipo and battery tape to hold it down.

If you use 3mm of spacers as opposed to the 1mm that the strap kit comes with there will be no tweak because your not stressing the chassis at all, the cf strap is completely level.

I run 3mm of spacers under the posts, and Shawn runs 3.5mm we have no problems at all.

For those using LiPo, do you guys just run 1 pack and keep recharging, or do you have multiple packs like you would with regular cells?

You only need one if you are running one class. If you are a serious racer you need the time to prep and warm your tires and let you motor and speedo cool off. It only takes 20-30 min to top of the pack.

If I were you at a big race I would have a spare just in case.

CORE5000 pack- running 13.5 BL will give you about 21 minutes of run-time, which is almost 4 heats on a single pack...
Advice: run a heat, then recharge...by the time you run your 2nd heat, its back to almost full charge again...this way you're always at full charge or close to it every time you run...or you can run 2 heats, and then charge, then run your 3rd and fourth, and then charge, etc...

CORE5000 pack-running 10.5 BL will give you about 17 minutes of run time, which is about 3 heats on a single pack...
Advice: pretty much same as above...

CORE5000 pack- running 3.5 BL will give you about 9 minutes of run time, which is almost two 5 min. heats....
Advice...recharge after every run...after a 5 min run, you'll still have about 40% of the pack left...so just recharge, and by the the time you run your 2nd heat you should be pretty close to full charge again...

Or you can have a spare pack and use both packs...1 per run...

Ahhhhhh....the beauty of LIPO!

Not taped in place but should give you an idea, pack would go even further inboard if I didn't run my power wires under the top deck.
Despite how the pics first appear, the pack does not stick out from the chassis at all, in fact it can line up perfectly with the cell holes.

For the people with only 1 pack, why not just shoe-goo it into the car?

I use shoe-goo all the time to glue down electronics or wires, it doesnt dry instantly so just wipe the excess away. If you got it on there good you'd never have to worry about ejecting a pack.
