The Tamiya hexes are like running the standard hexs plus a spacer. Most of us do not run a spacer in front as the narrower front gives more steering.

If you don't get one and want Weylin's IIC setup he won with I might have it from the Schumacher Pitspace days.

I modify my MI3 aswell I used my yokomo Hardened CVD and front steering knuckles all I did is drill the whole a little bigger on the knuckles so that the king pin will fit. I aslo shrink wrap the CVD pins to take away some slap by doing this it also help to save your outdrives from wearing out too quickly so far so good no noticeable wear at all considering I'm running brushless 4.5

I did this modification because I keep having problem with the CVD popping out. For some reason the MI3 CVD is short why is that?

Yes you do!!! Just clean with motor spray and re-oil the bearing inside the oneway housing simple as that.
