Default RCCA review

RLEONG- RCCA got their wires crossed that edition, I believe they also reviewed a 12th scale car that issue and the micro servo went in that. I also believe that there where a few other mixed up facts in the reviews, if you look really hard you will probably find the other errors and begin laughing histarically!!!!!

I believe (among others) the mission was listed as a 12th scale direct drive car!!!!!!!

hey Pat, thought I'd join you on here. Paul told me you bought a S1 car. Always been kinda curious how that might work. But then I'd have to put down the dremel. Your running mod with that car right?

Hey Andrew, whats up! Ya, I'll give it a try this Saturday in mod at Sheldons track. Its a small asphalt track that they have in the back of their shop, their traction is usually kinda low, so it should be a good test. I talked to Dominic and Jeff today, they are down south for the Norrca Nats at Hot Rod hobbies, Dom was saying theres not too many people their and he was pretty happy with how his car was handling, he said he's almost as fast as Hara! I think he's exaggerating a bit, but I guess stranger things have happened! Take it easy, talk to ya later!

I would suppose the S1 Mission is slower only on carpet compared to the Graphite version. Getting the carpet upper deck for the S1 car would probably help on this.

Those of you who are using 64 pitch spur gears, what spur gears are you using for stock and mod. Also what gearing are you using. I race at So Cal Raceway, in Fountain Valley, Ca.

rcfiend-We run RW 64P spur gears in the 120-124 range in both stock and mod. SoCal should already have these or will have them very shortly.

Adrian do you know if So Cal will have any of the stiffer upper deck?

I ran asphalt for the first time today and I need some help on tire/ inserts. The track temp was about 115F (started at about 90F) and all I had was some sorex 28's with echo red inserts. It wasnt the hot setup! I would have asked the fast guys what they ran but unfortunatly I was the fast guy...TQ and A main winner. I chased a very loose car all day and the hotter the track got the looser it was. What tire and insert would work best in the 90 to 120F range?

Hey ottoman, next time try the sorex 36's with either a hpi red or green insert. I have had better luck with these than with the sorex 32's. The 32's have a much more narrow temperature range than the 36's. Good luck.

Default S1 mission

Hey guys, I tried the S1 chassis mission today at Sheldons Hobbies. Track had good traction during the morning and it got progressivly worse throughout the day. I was forced to run stock, no mod guys showed up, but the car was very stable and had plenty steering. Ended up TQ in the A and won. I also noticed NO glitching (every once in a while I would glitch a little with my graphite car). The car built has much more noticable flex, hopefully I'll be able to run mod at ripon next week and see what happens!
