Yeah, I ran one for the better part of last winter on carpet. I liked it better than the DNA-1.

I guess I'll give the Mohawk a try this winter on carpet. Towerhobbies shows that they've discontinued the regular G6, leaving only the lightweight. And the last thing my car needs with BL/Lipo, is more weight savings.

What wings and/or positions of them with the bodies?

I know...I know Geesh!!
I have really like the Speed 6 for all applications of rubber tire racing. I know Caster prefers the regular 6. The Speed 6 is definitely give you a more aggressive feel, whereas the 6 almost feels sluggish to me.....

As for carpet racing....I am really diggin' the Mohawk as of lately. It seems to free up the rear end of the car a bit. The DNA1 I also really like, but for stock racing....it might be a little much. I does help settle my car down a bit in 19T.

As for wings...I honestly have never played with this setting. I know the further you move it back, the more traction you will get. I typically just place the wing in the stock positions....

Well the way you've been loving on the Mohawk, I think I'll at least have to give it a try.

Thing is, since my driving got better, I don't go through many bodies anymore. So I might end up with just the one Mohawk all winter.

But I'll keep in mind that you have them if I decide to stick with the G6.

Yeah, the only time I play with the wing settings is on my nitro sedan body. For electric, I just mount it up where the manufacturer wants it.

Personally i just use the Mazda Speed 6 shell, looks good and i can't really be arsed to fiddle with shells to much so i just change chassis set-up if something isn't right. I've been using the stock wing that comes with it and as far back (legally - 10mm) as it can go, with the wing height at roof level. Think a few people who have used this shell have used the Protoform High Downforce Wing(s) (PL1719) who say it makes the car more stable under braking and make it rotate a little more throughout the corner.....maybe something to try.

I was running my Mi3 yesterday at WLRC and the car seemed to want to 'hook' slightly at the front.
It didn't happen enough to cause me to spin, but it did mean I felt a bit nervous giving it everthing I wanted around a couple of the corners.

What would you guys suggest trying or adjusting first?

I had the following setup with a couple of differences, 1.2mm Rear roll bar, 0.5mm at the back rear screw block spacer, 1.5mm at the front wishbones front screw block spacer.

Good work on the paint Ray... how about going by "Pound It Paints"
Any time Randy. Good luck in Vegas. Go team Schui. I love mine.

Very different set-up compared to mine at the KOGP but my car was also a bit loose but the smoother you driven it the faster it got (made the 19t A final). If it wants to spin on entry i'd try 1mm on the front Links (Vertical) or put less front droop on the front (6mm - turn droop screws in). If it feels edgy on exit i'd either change the castor to 2*, or change the rear droop (4mm - turn droop screws out), try 4mm on the Horizontal Link Washers or lenghten the rear wheelbase by 0.5-1mm.

no. Patrick and I raced yesterday at DHW. WE had a lot of fun. You should make the trip down for some backyard hacking.
