If he would just get the right pistons and finish putting my setup on, which is basically Randy's from the Reedy w/o the underdrive pully, then he could get back on the lead lap.

What he's describing about the car kinda sounds like my setup minus the overdrive.. I'm messing around with 3 hole piston setups now though Mo, you'd be proud!

Default Shumacher MI2EC VS Cyclone

I just picked up a nice Schumacher EC with a bunch of parts as well as a HB Cyclone. Now, the Cyclone needs about $100 worth of parts after further inspection to get it back into it's prime. The Scuie does not, it's just needs a basic rebuild/chassis prep.

Now the question is what is a better beginner touring car to race in stock class? Parts support for both are similar, so thats not a big deal and most of the folks here run Xrays. I figure either I gotta suck it up and spend $100 on parts for the Cyclone and rebuild it, or sell it and buy more tires for the Shumacher.

I am planning to run either one on a 13.5R brushless and a orion 4800 lipo if that helps

Any ideas?

The pulley makes the difference between that setup working or not in my opinion..

If you guys get a chance, try the EC arms on the Mi3. You will need to modify swaybar mounting, but it seems to give more overall traction (this is for med/low-bite asphalt)

I mounted the front bar just like the old car, but used the front bumper screws to hold the bar mounts.

The rear bar will mount just like the Mi3 and you will need to drill holes in the arms for the ball-studs.

I just switched out the center steering mounts for about two hours and moved the mounting point forward and backwards and could only come up with about three degrees difference in akerman.Does anyone know what combo gives the least akerman effect? Also i think a big change was going to brushless ..The powerband feels different and have to dial in more brakes.

I'm not running the underdrive pulley. The only time I ran it was the main at the nats. It made my car go from super spinout to push.

I do recall stating that you get your problem solved so that we have a threat in stock this weekend....or did I not say that. Man...you sure are touchy now that you are a father.....ha ha ha ha Leave the mod to me and you will always be the king of stock.

Use Mo while you have him before he goes dirt for the winter.

A little more flex to generate more grip?

Has anyone run the Checkpoint Money motor in the car yet? What was your brush/spring combo & FDR for a medium, tight high-grip track?
