yeah, the car finishes very well on 4's, which is what i was most pleased with when i first drove the protoype. also, i asked goetz last night about what should be considered when switching from asphalt to foam/carpet racing, and he came up with this list:

necessary:

- diff ($55)

recommended:

- carpet top deck ($30)
- 1* aluminum rear hubs ($40)
- 6* castor blocks ($10/pr)
- front bar kit ($20)
- p-dub bumper ($11)
- ackermann plates ($14)
- kimbrough saver (med) ($6)
- rpm ballcups ($10)

optional:

- carpet towers (f/r) ($40/pr) they have better positions as well as lowering the body some in the front
- carpet chassis ($80) not at all needed, but it's pimp looking
- schumacher spring kit ($30) they are nice and short for the low towers

the car needs very little to go fast on carpet, but like any car, could benefit from many of the tuning options that are available.

Yup! I just ordered some for me to try out outdoors. I ran some in practice at Paved nats and they produced WAY more traction... it caught a few of us that ran them off guard.

Make sure the Jaco tires you have are the standard; not the light weight The first batch of tires were LW and had some issues

Only thing I'm looking for at this point is to minimize the body roll I seem to be getting. I've got thicker sway bars, but I'm worried that running those or trying stiffer springs will cost me traction on asphalt.

A couple of fast guys in the UK were running 17lbs springs without roll bars on asphalt. I've tended to go Schuey whites with roll bars, but it might be worth trying.

Proto DNA or a Parma Mohawk and occassionally the Parma Alfa. I would take a DNA and a Mohawk to Vegas if I were going. DNA is probably better for modified racing.
