No need for any of this servo saver lark. Haven't run one ever in my 6 years of racing and never had a servo die on me. If you aren't getting enough lock because of the ball stud hitting the servo case you could grind abit of the servo case away where it hits with a dremel

I'm running a Kimbrough meduim with a 3mm shim on ballstud facing inboard.
I have plenty of room, full lock, and no clearence issues. I only "shaped" the servo horn to make it more asthetic.

You dont have to run a servo saver, but when servos cost over $100 a pop I like the extra insurance. As long as the servo saver isnt weak, you wont loose any steering.

I'm not too worried about the servo geting abused, I figure its stronger than the kit's solid plastic servo horn. I am having tracking issues and can find no binding or other problems, so I am eliminating variables with teh servo saver.

AWD

McGoo you going to practice tomorrow?

Default Servo horn

Its over a month now, and I havent had issues with the stock servo horn, yet. I run 3.5 BL motors the first thing I did was buy the PDUb Mi3 bumper for that extra protection and I'm amazaed at how strong the car is! Its taken a few shots here and there, but the servo horn works like new and never has had any issues. Its really not that big of a deal...unless you like to ram thru walls every lap, like Marcos

Thumbs up 2.5 chassis kit

to quote shaggy, the 2.5mm chassis kit is bombastic! i just unwrapped it, and it looks great. instead of just a thicker asphalt chassis, this one appears to be redesigned a bit. good aesthetics, stiffer droop screw areas, and lowered towers. again, would like to have seen more servo mounting options, but overall a nice package. thank you schumacher.

Carpet/foam mainly...I dont think you need the 2.5mm chassis for carpet/rubber unless traction is very high.
