I've always thought the Schumacher ballcups are the best.

One tip for anyone buying the Mi3. Make sure you buy at least 2-3 of the U3131 Alloy shim kit. You need these and you need many of them depending on the setups you will be running. I am also hoping that at one point they'll make a .25 shim as well. I know there are other shims on the market you can use but the Schuie ones, nice and polished are just pimp!

Some guys are just partial to color coding on there cars as rpm does offer purple. I don't see a real value vs. the Schumacher ones as far as slop goes.

No, I don't think its about looks, because most of the people who use the RPM cups simply use the black ones.

Many people over on the Schumacher site board have said specifically that they use them to eliminate play compared to the stock ball cups.

I'm just wondering how much it helps. Cause the local hobby shop has some, and if they help, then I'll give them a try.

Here's a trick if you want to use the Schuie cups but they are a little loose- just put a small drop a CA into the cup and quickly 'flick' it out. Complete coverage and no binding

Okay so what I ended up doing is sanding down the 2mm qwik clip a little bit and it fits perfect now. If you sand it too much or if you eventually develop slop all you need to do is dab a little bit of CA super glue on the qwik clip and then slightly re-sand.

As far as having problems with the qwik clips falling off, which I saw someone write in a previous post, I never had one fall off when I ran my EC, and I run modified and unfortunately took some big time hits

rear hub problem

I ordered an extra set of Mi3 rear hubs but recieved a set of Mi2 rear hubs anyway grab a new set of rear a-arm and a titanium pivot pin which is purple and guess what parts and finish was flawless Mi3 rear hubs are too damm tight

the rpm ends take away the slop quite well when used with the standard ball studs. a perfect fit, really.

the schumacher ball grippas are large by design. they fit well with the old titanium racing ball studs, or even the hot bodies ball studs with some pinching, but i don't like them on when used with the standard ball studs that the kit comes with. they snap on hard because they are of a super hard plastic and they neck down tight, but once on the ball, they float around too much for my liking.

the c/a trick works well too, but it can flake back out if you're always disassembling your ride.

The Schumacher ball cups are really strong and you will never have a DNF for a ball cup popping off if you use them.

If you want to tighten them up put a plastic bag (like a zip loc bag) over the ball stud and snap the ball cup on. It will cookie cut a perfect plastic film disk and this will take up and play you have. You can experiment with different thickness bags to get the feel you want. If they end up a little tight squeeze the side with needle nose pliers and they will free up.
