Hiya

The only 2 types of shock adjusters that i can get are Tamiya and Xray ones. As it was stated above that the tamiya ones are a bit small, will the xray ones from the T2 work on the schumacher EC shocks ?

The tamiya plastic one will fit . I dont know about the xray ones.

FYI, I have been racing the Mi2EC with the stock shock collars for over a year. I have NEVER had the collars move during a run. This is a case of fixing something no one has a problem with. Yes they are a little loose on the bodies but they will not move unless you move them.

Default Form Help

Hi.
I'll be receiving an MI2EC any day now from an auction I won -I can't wait to start running this car. For those of you that know this thread well, can you send me a link back or tell me ~what page in the past the form starts focusing on the MI2EC. I don't have a lot of time to wade to over 500 pages of information. Thanks!

I haven't had any problems with my stock collars either. Except if I hit them when making adjustments to the links or something. I've heard someone say to score the threads with a knife to keep them from turning freely.

Yeah sorry Adrian I meant the Tamiya Alu ones won't fit, didn't know about the plastic ones.

XRAYs won't fit either.

I would go to 35 oil in the front and rear and 1.5mm of rear droop and 3mm of droop in the rear. Silver swaybar in the front and black swaybar in the rear. Put the riser plate in under the rear diff only. Then take your car and try it out. This should get your car to rotate a little more. Shocks in the front in the middle hole on the tower and in two holes from outside on the rear towers. After you run and if you need more rotation you can try laying your rear shocks in one hole and or try shortening your rear wheelbase 1mm. If more if needed you can do 1mm shorter rear wheelbase and in on the rear shocks one hole. (I have done these and each one helps a little as this is what Adrian at Schumacher has helped me with)

To find your droop put a batter in your car and set you ride height to 5mm. Then keep you ride height gauge thier and slow raise the car like from the center of the chassis. When the wheels come off the groundcheck the ride height. The differance between the two is your droop. So lets say you have 5mm of ride height and your wheels come off the ground at 6.5mm you have 1.5mm of drrop.

I use the associated blue alum ride height gauge.

Not 100% sure on that but I think you can but need to shim a little. Like I said I'm not 100%on that.

ive just seen those pictures of the mi3.it looks like one step for schumacher and one giant leap for the racing brigade. very nice
all the lastest touring cars are designed and built to such high standards and due to this rc racing at all levels are going to rep the benefits.
i think its going to bring much more exciting racing at world level as the all the manufactors have closed the gap on the brand that sort of broke the mould.
with the playing field levelling out i do look forward to seeing a british car rule the roost.
when is the car due to make its appearance ??
