Like Jason said, give Schumacher USA a call. They'll help you out. The problem with the CVD's on the EC is that the coupling is hollow. There's nothing on the opposite side of the pin from the set screw. If you tighten the set screw down too much, it'll crack or bend the pin. That's why you hear about guys not hitting anything and having them break. The new CVD's aren't like that. I personally have only had one failure in the last year. If you can't get the new ones, just be careful and don't crank down on them too tight. Use blue thread lock and just get them tight enough so they hold the pin in fairly tight and you'll be fine.

TiR also do upgraded driveshafts as well as 'Rebuild kits' for the driveshafts.

Jon Kerr is exactly right

The part number is U3020 and has been a running change. The new axles are black and that's how you can tell the difference

Going to be getting my Mi2 EC back on the track in a couple weeks. Can't wait. Took a couple of months off just to run 1/12th scale. WYD races at my local track. We have another racer at our track interested in getting a Schumacher when the new car comes out. Need to get back into the swing of sedan racing.

Not sure when I wll make it back to race at C since I just bought that house. Lots of stuff to do at that place plus need to get are other place cleaned out and ready to sell. Good thing is I will have a nice hobby woom upstairs and no more dragging my stuff up and down the steps!!!!!!!!!

Not sure but I think it might be a little later than that but PW or Adrian might give you a better time frame.

Wow...I never realized that I was NOT the only one....the last SAT, I broke like 3 of those pins between my foam and rubber EC. And I think I have broke like 10 plus overall the times I have the EC...and I thought that was the way I drive....

I want to know how many version of the axle of the EC's CVD..? I had the gray/silver/greenish looking 1 before...and now all of the axle I have are the same color as the bone (purple)....which one is the newer/older one..? And I know the black one is the latest one....thanks.

P.S....does HPI's PRO 4 CVD's pins work on the Mi2EC one..? Or does all MIP use the same pin...?

my old car had the TiR CVD's on it with a complete second set. only time I ever broke any of them was the very last time I ran the car....I ended up snapping 3 in one day.....go figure. I did also break the pin that goes through the layshaft pulley several times. Other than that I don't think I ever broke anything on my EC, carpet or Rubber.

Don't get me wrong. I did get blasted a few times and end up with broken part but that would have happened no matter what car I had been driving. As far as failures or me clipping boards...I think the pins were about it.

How is my old car anyway LOL

There is a new CVD available from Schumacher with a black axle.

The HPI will also fit.
