oh snap, I'll buy one to hang up at Weylin's home track. I don't even have to mount it very high to be out of his reach!

I can share a little of my experience cause I just started the indoor carpet season with the Mi2EC for stock/19T rubber and use my old XXXSG++ for stock foams........for stock rubber on the Mi2EC, due to the low RPM of the motor, the car is a little easier to setup and dirve, but once I changed to 19T....nightmare begins, cause you are forced to fine tune your setup and make it drivable...overall, rubber tires are narrower, tire traction will decrease faster, track condition (even it is carpet) makes a hugh different.

On the other hand, my "never know whats the setup is" Losi XXXSG+ on foams........are on rail, but I was told by those who watched me running, the car is just FLAT...on rail, but NOT fast......and that is the track about FOAM tires, you can use any kind of setup and almost impossible to get the car undrivable (due to the wider tires and they are FOAMS).......but to get foam car fast, it required some slide here and there...to make foam slide a little is 100 times harder then rubber tires skills...........but at least, that made my decision that I will convert my Mi2EC to US Foam spec and concentrate on the driving instead of the high degree of setting with rubber tires.

Don't forget, everyone is faster on foams, not just you.......and everyone will be hooked up on the track, but how to make it faster then others..........I am trying to find that out myself.

Would any of the attendihg drivers care to give us their setup's.
Mainly after rubber/carpet, but any will do.

Interested to see the difference between the US carpet setups and the UK versions.

Were the guys exclusively runnign the US Foam Spec for foams and the Asphalt edition for the rubber tyres?

Thanks
Skiddins

Most of us were using the carpet spec in the rubber tire class but with the asphalt top deck. The set up I had on my car for my mod heat was okay but not worth trying out. The car was set up for that track and that track only. Weylins set up should be posted sometime soon though.

If anyone wants my Foam tire setup, drop me an Email to jkerr0043@cox.net and I'll send it to you on my setup sheet. It wasn't the fastest setup in the world, but for a first time foam racer, I was able to get the car around the track consistently at a decent pace.

Your car looked like it handled really good and you didn't do to bad driving either. You where just one or two board meeting away from having a really good run.

Thanks Monty. When I ran the 26mm tires in the last qualifier to try and get something more I could tell the car was considerably faster. And if I had been running them the whole time I think I could have done much better with them. The car was faster but much more reactive and twitchy with them. I wasn't used to the extreme amount of steering I got from them and I was down in the lower main anyways. So I just stuck with what I knew I could get a round the track with for the mains.

Oh, and next time I'm coming out that way, I'll let you know and we can meet up at the track. If I'm not bringing my gear with me, I don't think the wife can complain too much if a friend has a car there ready for me.

I've bothered him long enough........and yes, Kane did hook me up on the EC and 12th a lot, I just need more practice time....car is perfectly fine. (Nexus and I are trying to make up some excuse for the 4 days Halloween classic...it is a tough one, but we will try...)
