Be careful making too many changes at once. You won't know what change did what.

I always just use motor spray. Be careful using anything that's not specific for RC. I know there are a lot of things like brake cleaners and such that are pretty much the same thing as the RC motor spray, and much cheaper. But some of them are a little different and can cause some serious damage. I was using one spray for motors a few years back that apparently attacked the glue holding the magnets in the can. I had 3 or 4 motors lock up from the magnets shifting.

Sorry. You're not privy to that information.

I get some stuff that's private labeled as "Motor Quencher" for SoCal raceway but any of the stuff that Orion, Reedy, Trinity, Checkpoint, etc... sell as motor spray will be fine. It's really all the same stuff.

I have a spare set of bearings, one set is in the car while the other sits in a 35mm film container half filled with WD40.
The container goes with all my other RC bits and the vibration over time loosens all the grime etc which gathers in the bottom of the container. I take them out then oil them and swap them over with the set from the car.

Car brake cleaner is good at degreasing and blasting out bearings, it also tends to be cheaper than anything specifically for RC.

I was using the standard setup included, with the slight change of a thicker Front sway bar (black) and blue springs in the front and the front carpet tower (third hole from outside). No bars under the diffs.

Riser + 1 in front
Riser + 1,5 in the back.

Apart from that the car felt very responsive, great turning in.

But whatever I did I still could not stop the car from breaking out in the fast chicane. Anyone of any help?

Thanks in advance
What about 'short' rear wheelbase.

Everyone always suggests that I run it longer, but whenever I do I get oversteer.

I run it standard, as in the manual.

As I have seen from others - regarding the rear - they all run it the same way - without obviously having any problems.

It's adjustable for a reason, try changing it.

Remember, your driving style might not suite someone elses settings.

This was mentioned in that Xray Blofeld thread or whatever it's called etc will be running at Vegas after some people complained about the 'new car every 9 months' from Xray problem.

I think it went down awhile back when the whole website crashed. If it doesn't come up soon or they don't plan on making another one. I'll create a vbulletin board on Schumacher Pitspace to replace it.

Go to www.racing-cars.com (front page) and choose "UK" site, then forum - it works fine.
