The best use for VETC tires is gluing 4 of them together and making car stands out of them

Send an email to Chris Ashton (chris@racing-cars.com) for a good rubber carpet setup.

Try this;

Kevin Brunsden - Carpet Wars Setup

This was the setup I started with, running VTEC 24's at DMS over the winter.
I think I ended up without the rear roll bar and ran a 1 way as well.

It felt good but my driving was pants

With the Vegas IIC and carpet season around the corner many of the Mi2EC guys will be running foams. Or if you're just lurking this thread thinking about buying a Mi2EC here is some insight on the USA Foam Spec...

"...A mere week after it's release, Schumacher USA's team driver, Chris Goetz drove it to A-Main finishes in the Stock and Pro-19 classes at the 2006 U.S. Touring Car Championships in January of 2006. Two months later, Chris and his 'Foam Spec' reappeared in the A-main at the 2006 ROAR Carpet Nationals. "

Those tires are actually pretty good on carpet

Here is Kevin Kane's latest setup for medium/high bite carpet racing (rubber tire). I would use 4deg blocks if the bite comes up

I would not recomend a spool on carpet it can make the front tires over heat but then really make just the outside tire on sweepers and long corners over heat which will make the car feel tweaked. I would go with a Diff if you dont want to use a 1-way and run it tight or have some thick diff lube in it. The Teemu setup works well with a Diff I have run my car like that and also another local racer here raced his car that way and it was also good.

Personally i'd go with Teemu's DHI setup. I had a decent setup that i'd worked on at DMS, but after a chat with Teemu i tried his DHI setup and it did feel more balenced. It is a one way setup though, so if you don't want to run a one way then maybe it's not much use.
