Default Sizzler......

The GOAT had a great car all weekend and was able to get TQ with the stock car which was awesome to see. Now if he can learn how to "race" and not just qualify maybe he can do something more then TQ... Good job on the TQ.

Euge and Nexus both had great cars in the rubber tire class. I worked with Euge on his car and we got it really good with a diff....if he had a 1-way it might have been even better.

I practiced with my rubber tire car and it was really good but hard to drive. I ran some fast laps with it on Saturday...they would have put me in the top 3 but I didnt have the energy to race two classes in the heat of the sizzler.

Default Tire choice

Hi all,

I am having one important race in a big track with medium to low grip .
Air Temperature will be 21C or 81F.

Since any rubber tire/insert/rim combination is allowed and no limit for the number of tires used - is a total new situation for me , used to run TakeOff C27 limited to 2 sets per race (mandatory tire).

I will be thankfull for any advice base on experience about how to get the best of this conditions, like which tire/insert can be the best
and
If is wise to use one tire set for each run (4 qualifying and 3 finals).

thanks in advance

Pedro

True just get that hot lap or TQ and then just leave thats what its all about isnt it??? No need to actually race and worry about blowing out is there? Think of all the traffic you will beat on the ride home on saturday nights.

i was kidding. f**k, i worry about blowing out of qualifying even more. since there's no real pressure from other cars, that's even worse! fortunately for most, there are usually a few shots to do it. i've only really been running big stuff for 1-1/2 yrs. and 4 altogether. it is fairly likely that i'll get better.

hey, sometimes it's healthier to stop while you're ahead. that would be awesome to tq and not run your main, claiming you want to end the weekend on an high note! do you think it would devalue the win any? it's like taking the small prize so you don't risk losing big one. hahaha. i can see it now, a resume with no actual finishing results. hey, some people just don't dream big.

oh, and thanks for the props on the tq. it's a start, anyway. it slipped out at the halloween race by a few tenths to dayger, but his time i was the taker. i've got plenty of time for a win....... eli - goetz = ~ 20 yrs. holy crap is eli the man.!

mr. warmwater - will do.

Thanks for the help, Kev. The rubber car was really good all day. I blew the second turn on the second lap. Not sure what happened there, but the car drove really good on the carpet. I think I'll have to get a one-way like you mentioned though. I might be working more on the foam car next time out. At the sizzler, I thought I could run both the foam and the rubber car, but I couldn't get used to running them back to back, so I stayed with the rubber car all day.

Seaball, great running all weekend. The battle between you and Wise was awesome. Too bad things didn't work out for you in the main.
