Trinity Stock P2K Pro 375 degree on Temp gun
Yep... That's right.... 375 on the temp gun.... On my Tamiya F201
car today..... Melted 3 pieces of the chassis........ Need to replace them.... Only 25 runs on it.... The magnet split apart inside while
running full tilt..... Burnt finger trying to get it out before it melted my ESC and receiver.... The armature is now a pretty blue and black...
I've contacted Trinity to see if they will replace it.... Think they will?

hehe...
I would be very surprised if Trinity would replace the motor. Usually when this happens, something had to have been VERY wrong, most likely in the gearing department.

Trinity has almost no customer service, so good luck. Especially on soemthing like this where overgearing might have been a problem. A lot of us have overheated motors, unfortunately, its part of the game.

Were you running the standard gearing or the high speed?

It's got to be farenheit, even at that temp wouldn't the spur gear melt?
My guess is you had a loose magnet and it was rubbing on the arm. After a few seconds of running that way motors get way hot, so after a few minutes...

Actually, at that heat I'm surprised it didn't throw a wind, smoke, etc. Seen it happen before.
