Go with a TC4 or a TC3. The TC3 would be cheaper though....

For your budget you should be able to find a good used AE TC5 or Xray T2 07.

If you don't mind buying used you can get a better quality kit for what your looking to spend as stated above.

tc3 75-150
Tc4 100-150
tc5 150-200
xray t2/ t2 007 100-175
corally rdx 100-150
Losi xxx-s 75-125
Losi jrxs 100-150
ta05 100-150

just to name a few and what I've seen them go on this forum for.

Any truck you buy is guaranteed to do one thing... Break!

The best truck is the one that is working and can finish a race. Buy a truck that has parts readily available from you LHS. I made the mistake of purchasing my RC8Te from the net to save a few bucks upfront however, now I have to mail order every time I need a part. Not only is it more expensive, it takes way more time.

My local hobby shop is a LOSI shop. Now both AE and Losi are both top notch companies but I didn't realize, till I needed a very small 3$ part on race day and DNF'd how important having local parts avail would be.

*** Also, its important to support your LHS!! (especially if that's where you race).

hope that helps -Bret

Hind site is truely 20/20

lol i understand that things break, lol its even more likely to break the way i drive lol, but last time i bought a car i bought it stock for $25 under the cost of the new ones. when i got it it had lots of cracked parts. first run i drifted into a wall (not very hard) and broke alot of parts ($40 worth) i was etter off buying it new

lol and my hobby shop does not help support me lol, with my mini-t i asked them if the stock esc could hadle a certain lipo battery... 2 esc's later i went back to the nimh lol.

and sorroy to hear about the lhs story of yours, i guess annoying things like that just come with the hobby lol
